Please can we stop the fighting between Santini and Baker. They are both great escape artist in their own ways. Lately Baker has been taking the worst of it. First off, mrescape is not the real Baker, its an unproffesional fake, and Mr. Baker wishes him the leave. Cant there be peace between you two. You both seem like great guys, and we escape artists no matter what skill level, age, race, religion, nothing should keep us apart. What does this say for the escape community, it doesnt show the best side. Us arguing is not going to futher anyones carrer, and its not going to end one. The more we can work together and put our past behind us, the farther we can get in life and in the field of escape. Please settel your differences and make up. I dont want any more bashing, flamming, slandering, name calling, nothing that is unproffesional to be said any more. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make up.

im not trying to bash you but i dont know where you got this idea that it isnt the real baker. if it isnt then he should stop trying to be and get the h*** out because hes giving a bad name to him. just for sake of playing devil's advocate Santini proposes this argument.

Because the sorts of posts he has made here are just the same type of posts and things he has said about me elsewhere to whoever will listen.

Guys like you and I know that it is working and trying to get one foot up on being unique that determines any actual success.

Such, or any, success does not come from trumpetting to the world at every opporunity, "I am the GREATEST!"

Life, all aspects of it, simply does not work this way.

I will not go into gory details because this forum is supposed to be for people to share and help out others in escapes, but the "stolen manuscript" thing that he is going on about only convinces me 100% that this IS Baker.

You see, about 2 or so years ago I worte a book called , 'Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Entertaining With Escapes".

The book I wrote was not a technical "how to" but instead how to structure an act, how to book yourself, promotional tips, etc.

Apparantly, Baker claims that since he had it in his mind that he was oneday going to release such a book himself I somehow "stole" the idea from him.

I mean I literally reached inside his head, read his thoughts (more than 100 pages of them), copied them into a book and released it.

This has to be the only possible way it could have happened because the man never told me his plans, his chapter headings, the title, or the contents.

Perhaps I am a better mentalist than an escape artist!

PS they should make up to be professional. they dont have to like each other, but they should both make up.

You tell them Batman! If Steve says mrescape is not him, than his word is good enough for me. Steve Baker would not lie about something like that! Why would he need to? He's Steve Baker, the most famous Escape Artist in the world.
