Yhea, ultimatemagicians approach is really good. I would just respond buy saying something very monotone like "Very good, you’re very smart." They do a mind boggling trick. When he asks how I did it I’d say Magic. Then if he says theirs no such thing I would say "very good, you’re very smart." But I probably wouldn't perform for him anymore either. And who says magic isn't real? What is magic anyway? Is it doing something impossible? Well if you do that, then that's magic.

And I think you SHOULD perform at school! You will never find a tougher, more critical audience on the planet then your class mates. They will force you to get good, and be hard, and perform with confidence. Either that or they'll break you (just kidding). Everyone gets busted and hassled, learn from it and drive on. That's what separates good performers from great performers.

My idea is to pull out your best trick on them if you can. Then they will shut up when they see some sort of amazing,mind-boggling illusion.

So many great comebacks!! I love them all! I, too, have a favorite, I believe it started from the Amazing Jonathon, and I respectfully submit it to you for your approval:

Heckler: That's just a trick! There's no such thing as real magic!

Me: Thank you, Captain Obvious, Metro City is safe once again, now that you're on the job! (continue with effect)

If it was me, I'd give an opening line like the movie "Merlin" If you saw the telivision series, You'll know what I'm talking about. While Merlin was in training, The gnome dude (ick, or something like that) said tere were 3 levels of magic. 1st was hand illusions. You can manipulate things using slight of hand. 2nd was word spells. You can make things happen with a few words spoken from your mouth. And finally, there is a third level of magic, and only queen mev was able to perform that feat, which was the power to cast spells from the mind. That is just a basic opener, and you can perform magic that matches you ability. If you wanna do ist level magic, then to coin illusions (stressing the word "illusion). Then the second level things can be props that work on their own. Then 3rd level spells can be performed using mentalisim tricks.

I dunno. I just typing what comes to my mind.

I'm hella bored today....

"Magic and illusion is an art form, not a science" could be a response.

Think of it like this way...who says: "There's no such thing as music."? If you break it down scientifically, really it is just cyclic noises that only humans can interpret. It's the art form that makes it real.

At your skill level, everything is magic.

You could also hand him a coin and say: "So you think there is no magic? Ok, rub this coin and see how the surface starts to melt under your finger. Now would that be magic?"

If he starts to rub the coin wait a few seconds then say: "You´re right! There is no magic. But for someone who doesn´t believe in magic you tried real hard..."
