A great trick is the quantom bandits if you want something simple and cheap and that no one will figure out, choose that because it is totally impromptu and you will carry around rubber bands for the rest of your life

I think this is true, but has nothing to do with the topic.

My top Five favorite is the flipper coin, a coin shell, looong card, bigger finish, and wrap it up by Jay Sankey. In no particular order.

Obviously TT is the best one but those are the five I use the most for close-up.

im surprised noone said sinful the coin thru can trick. that by far has gotten the best reactions for me, and i was standing like a foot away from the person. no gimmicks needed, completely impromptu, beautiful close up trick. i havent gotten my TT yet, so i will answer about that wen it comes (in 7-10 days :( )

yeah yeah yeah....

right under the term "sleight of hand" in my mind's ideal dictionary of magic... is a picture of a TT.

A TT is a gimmick... and it is not a kids toy... or an easy out.

It is a sleighted gimmick... that GREAT closeup workers use.

for me no doubt the number one is the raven because if you use it right it dissapears from their hands, in strange travelers the gimmicks are amazing so that gets number two, superman by roy keupper is also great so thats three, then probably TT, then of course the i love the time machine

1.raven
2.strange travelers
3.superman
4.TT
5.time machine :D

3. servante (can we include topit, sleeve, tie and cumberbund)
4. Paddle style gimmicks (knives, hot rod, etc)
