This is what pi$$es me off most: People don't respect me as a magician because i'm young, even though i know tricks that make them speechless. This one kid, when i was doing the matrix coins, said, "oh thats so simple." Oh really, i say, and he's all like, yeah i could do if i wanted to but i don't feel like it." (sayin that proves he's lying and being a complete jackass.) Then i say, "Well then tell me how it's done." He says, "Oh but i can't because its in the code of magicians booklet page 349 rule 649A-6!" I don't show that i'm pissed off, i just stop doing tricks, and everyone else who is enjoying it start beating him up because the substitute was almost asleep.

Still it pisses me off. What am i supposed to do.

hi, ive had the same problem. i ride the school bus home for like an hour and a half . i usually do my homework, but magic also. i got nfw, practiced forever until i could do it flawlessly, performed it to some kids, and they were just like i know how you do that, but im not telling you. i was like what the edited, what kind of a response is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyway, ive experienced your problem.

thats kind of lame they are just jealous dun sweat it. thoes people are the ones who really envy and admire you that you can have so many performing audience while they are losers.

Heres how to fix the problem: Don't perform for kids in grade school. Its that simple.

I did the ball in vase once for someone, and this girl who had one of those really cheap kits with the ball and vase in it. She said she knew how it was done. Not in everyones face thou, because she knew i'd never preform for her again. Fair enough. I don`t care if someone knows how to do my worst trick. But now she keeps hanging around my little magic tribe in my class, and i just can't practice stuff without her whiping the prop or deck out of my hands, doing if bad, and being so proud of her bad preforming. Normally, i woudn`t care, but she says it so smug, i just wanna punch her. I never will thou, don't worry

I really wonder why she dose it. I don't think its's gelousy. Don't think i`ll say anything to her unless she goes to far. Thou sometimes, i think she has.... (personal issues, not magic related.)

I hate to tell you this, but this is just how kids are to other kids.
For the kid who says he knows but can't tell because of the magician code stuff, just beat him to the punch.
When he says he knows how it's done, just say something like:
"Yes! But I know you can't tell because it's in the code of magicians booklet page 349 rule 649A-6!"
You should never ask them to tell you how it's done. What would you say if he is correct? You'd probably deny in a defensive way which would make them think that they are right. There are many things that could be said in this situation. Here's another one. "I know how that's done." Response: "Wow! You must be pretty smart then." or "Well Ok, but don't tell anyone. We'll keep it as our secret."
If they continue and try to state how it's done, right or wrong, just remember to neither confirm nor deny. I usually just say something like, "Hmm. That's a neat concept. I might have to practice that one."

Kids don't usually respect kids, at least...not openly.

No, rule number one would probably be don't perform a trick you havent perfected.

most ppl just think they know how its done... like some ppl with justt the knowledge of DL they think they know how u do everything. dont bother ... if they give u sh*t like that just ignore them saying that they dont know how its done. if they had known 100% how u done it , im sure they would say it, they just think they know but they dare not have the balls to say it out.

simple solution, just say, "dont act like u know when u dont, especially when u cant prove it."... in rare cases they actualy know, but trust me , if they'd know they would surely say out how its done. ppl like this just want ppl to think that they are smart just because they know how a trick is done. lol these kinda ppl cant hurt u when performing, they just want to be heard and be thought as an intelligent person who knows how the tricks are done...

like michael ammar said, just by knowing how the piano works doesent make u a pianist. something liek that i think.
