I'm off to an "interview" of a sort on Friday morning. I'm going to go to a luncheon with the people that run a museum for the arts. In September they are having a "Diversity in Arts Celibration" or something like that. And they would like to have a magician perform. :-) (hopefully that will be me.)
At this lunch, I'm supposed to do an intimate (read: closeup) show for about a dozen people. If they like me, I'll be performing on stage in front of 100 - 300 people in September.

It's kind of weird to be doing close-up table-hopping things to audition for a stage show...but I don;t care. :-)

My lineup for the lunceon tomorrow is:

If I get the job, I'll have about 8 weeks to prepare for the stage show...

Well, I'm back! Had a great time. Everyone there wanted a business card after lunch. (I perfomed between lunch and desert). For the first person that wanted a card, I HAD to do hypnotic choice with my business cards. :-) I didn't do misled. Bad angles. I'll save it for the stage-show when I do it on the 27th of September!

Yes, I got the job. Now for the next two months, my daughter and I will be thrashing out a routine and practicing. (I bought her a pair of child D'Lites for her birthday on Sunday :) )

I got a chance to look around the facilites and it seems that teh 100-300 people show was wrong. By looking at the place, it seems like it will only hold 90-120 people. But that is still pretty good.

I talked money with the manager after everyone else had left. We will be discussing it more in teh coming weeks, but it looks like I may get between 3 and 5 dollars a person that pays to see the show. Not much for a stage show, but I can live with it (I think).

I really want to saw my daughter in half. :-)

If you really wanna saw her in half, look into "visible sawing". Classic effect with a modern twist.
