you forgot to mention people who quote for no reason.
That should stop too.

When done in certain circumstances, I feel that it isn't such a bad thing. If you do it, it might mean that you completely agree with what someone has just said and you have nothing to ad. It's a way of showing your support/agreement on something someone else has said. But other times I agree with you. People do it with no reason and it might be for their post count?

On topic w/ quotes, I hate it when people quote you, then change what you say by a couple words to completely change the viewpoint of your post (or make you like stupid).

Bashing someone over anything isn't a good idea. It only breeds contempt and anger. The problem is that grammar and spelling are in the rules. They are a big thing here, believe it or not. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time, but even then, they're just mistakes. You should try to type correctly. It'll help you more than you think. Type a paper for college and mispell every other word. The teacher won't even bother reading it. I'm the same way. I tend to skip posts that show no sense of respect in the way it's written. Also, this isn't a post about grammar, so stop arguing about it. This topic very quickly degenerated while I was at work. Let's bring it back now.

tkies,
Your last two posts shows that you can spell, thanks for the effort. Never ever sell yourself short. Your words evaluate who you are, never substitute it with the lazy 'hood' talk.
It does sound ignorant! I wasn't calling you lazy per say, but the slang talk shows extreme laziness. Express yourself in an intelligent manner whenever you can you will be looked at in a more positive way.

Old topic, but funny reply. We're constantly bombarded with abbreviating names, places, etc on our phones and in chat rooms, Facebook, Myspace, World of Warcraft and countless other avenues. Then the grammar and spelling nazis try to make kids feel inadequate when they use the same techniques on internet forums.

It's not a college paper, these guys need to relax. IMHO of course.

Was he perma-banned, though? I don't remember the full situation, I just know he did a lot to let us know he didn't want to be here, but I don't remember who got fed up enough first. It's sad, a lot of the good, old members got so "bored" (read: Annoyed) with the people and overall attitude here that they couldn't think of anything better to do than to flip out. It's still happening now, with old friends here just at odds with everyone.
