I was just glancing thru some of the posts here and was amazed by the number of people who seem to loath Blaine. Why? So what if he uses some simple tricks for a great effect. How's this different from Copperfield using elaborate sets for great effect? A trick, is a trick, is a trick! Wether it be on a small scale or grand, the result is the same, smiles all around. Just because you know some of his secrets doesn't give you the right to bad mouth the guy. If you really hate him so much why can't you stop talking about him? Do I hear a bit of jealousy in the house? Hmmm, yes I do!

Ryn's got a point!! He does all the same magic and us(and more) he just found a way to get up on top. All the same tricks, everything!! He just was walking throught NY city one day and was asked by an ABC guyu to do a show and now there he is!! Thats just like you going out one day and being in the right spot at the right!! -Danny

Well, actually, he went to ABC to ask if he could get a show. But I agree that a lot of people here are blowing this out of porportion.

If he did go to ABC and ask for a show, I think people could interpret that as he just wanted to be famous. Only David Blaine knows for sure. Maybe he wanted to bring the art of magic to a wide audience and possibly get more people interested in it. Who knows for sure. He doesn't seem to have the attitude of just getting money or being famous. If it wasn't for him I'm sure many people wouldn't be interested in magic. Just my opinion. Thank you.

yea he did really get the thought of magic going through peoples heads!!Thats prolly the reason for newb's, but the ones who were in it just because he was is mostlikely out of it because to be in magic he have to WANT to do it!-Danny

His magic is powerful, even if it doesn't seem so to us. My mom is just stunned at the things he can perform. Even after I do em, she still is blowing away..

He's great at these tricks, because he acts and practices. He went to MTV frist for magic they were going to hire him, but the contract would only let him do little clips, only on MTV. So he went to ABC. He sinched the deal with an easy to proform mental effect from another room over a PA system. He is a great magician!
