I like doing the classic one where you put one card in each hand, and while moving the hands back and forth, you undo the watch, make the steal,a nd then say the cards chnaged places... Then confess that they really didnt, and for being such a good spectator, you get a prize... Reveal the watch...

Yeah V's right, i use that method as well. i saw blaine do it once and used it.

I also use the misdirection used by Gregory Wilson in "Ticker Taker", though i steal the watch completely different.

im not sure if theres a proper name for this steal but i have them hold a coin in there palm and grab there wrist. then i wave my hand over the coin and pretend to be doing something then just go onto something from there...after stealing there watch from the wrist i was grabbing.

I pretend to hand them a one dollar bill, really a five dollar one. I have them close their fist around it. Then I grab both thier hands and have them close one hand around the other, I also have them mutter some silly incantation, that's when I do the steal. After they discover that the bill's in thier hand's now worth more than it was, they cling to it. Then I would say "O.K, you've won four dollars, but I've won this." I then produce the watch from my pocket.

That's just one version of how I do It  :) :D

I ask them if I can borrow their watch for a trick; after they give it to me I run away and jump into the waiting minivan and have my crew drive away.

Dude, I'm 18; I work as a lifeguard 5 days a week. I don't know why I'm trying to defend myself, but I just thought I'd set the record straight.

Hey, I'm new here, but I would say my favorite way would be the good old mind reading trick, where you set up a card trick that involves you "reading their mind" and grab their wrists and tell them to look deep into your eyes... It works for different kinds of watches too.. like the metal wathces that clip up, or the old watches that you have to undo completely... However it wont work too well with velcro watches... but none really do
