This is a good idea, you want to do a trick that has been taught over and over again on countless TV shows, in other words, a trick that almost everyone knows. You wouldn't demonstrate how to do STS or Greed, to name two.

The torn & restored napkin trick is good, and will probably win you points from your teacher.

When I was in college, we had to "sell" something. I sold a "special" dollar bill: It was printed upside down (joke), it floats, (IT), it can't be punctured, (misled), automatically restores itself if seperated, (torn & restored), and vanishes for safe keeping.

I only had a limited amount, and the bills could be purchased for a mere five dollars.


I sold four.

You reminded me of another point, You get extra credit if you bring in something for each person in the class. (And thats why everyone did cookies/brownies/cupcakes/muffins/etc...)

I tried to think of something, the teacher tried to think of something, and my friends tried to think of something. What "Magical" thing can you give out that wont expose a good trick?

I guess you could do torn and restored napkin, there’s a video on the forums right now and you could use similar patter, give everyone 2 napkins and have them do the effect with you, then at the end they will all have 1 ripped and 1 restored napkin and you will have 2 restored ones ☺. That’s what I’d do.

Also i thought about making little laminated cards of the golden rules of magic. (You know, the rules on the first page of every magic book on earth).

EDIT: Nevermind Rob, i didnt know it was a trick you had to pay for. I didnt know you can sell such a simple trick, even with the twist on it its still obvious lol. I still might use that, Thanks Anyways!
