Do you ever think pickpocketing is cruel or mean?

never thought of that. But what if you steal it and then they put on a frantic surch for lets say a watch and buy a knew one. Later yiu return the one you stole. They might call the cops on you!

When pickpocketing, for a magic show, I find it best to show exactly what you took right away. If you are doing a stage show, you have a little time before you need to reveal what you took, but it's still best not to wait too long. Otherwise, you can get in quite a bit of trouble.

Another good point, don't pickpocket anyone who looks as if they just got out of jail. And don't pickpocket any guy who looks as if he would destroy you. Also, don't pickpocket a cop, they don't find it too funny.

you nor any one else here is criss angel either, and no one here that i know of has a tv crew go with them every where, and are well known, etc. Its a risk when doing it to a cop.

DavidTheCryptic makes some great points. A TV crew will help one out very much. When I pickpocketed a cop, doing the same effect very similiar to what Criss Angel did (this is when I first got into pickpocketing, and I was doing paper balls over the head), the cop did not find it funny at all. Everyone else found it to be great, but the cop didn't. I later apologized to him though.

Pickpocketing can have some very negative responses.

If you return what you pickpocketed then it's not mean/cruel.

But if you don't some pickpockets will say it's there fault for leaving themselves vulnerable and your teaching them a valuble lesson.
