What kind of music do you guys use in your act and where can I get it. I was thinking of doing something of my own on the piano recording it but idk how that would turn out.

I use music composed by the Strauss family. Generally played by the Vienna Philharmonic conducted by Werner von Krajen. Yes it is classical but it fits my act.

I use different things that are pretty active. Duane Laflin and Ken Scott use CD's that are composed of Royalty FRee music that's pretty good. Give their site a look.

I didn't use much music, but when I did, I used Weird Al. Not all of his stuff, but he has some up beat music, that just fit me.

I quit doing kid shows though. I hate doing them. The only ones I do anymore are for schools.

Yes, it's getting better. You still have that annoying habit of constantly pressing the enter button, though. Is that from IM?

Classical is great for flourishes and effects like dancing cane or zombie. But for kid shows, it has to be fun and upbeat. Try Billy Joel's Rootbeer Rag-it runs about 6 mins long and has several moments for laughs. Also, themagicofdc.com has several free mp3 downloads.

I am soon doing a stage show, but since there is already a topic on music (this one) I won't start a new topic. I'm going to use the song YMCA. Does anyone think that it is a good/not a good song for my show?

Thanks,

~Z

Does your show have any basis around the YMCA? Seems kind of like a random choice to me.

Nope, it's a completely random choice, I just chose it because it has some beat, I like it, and people might start clapping to it.

Wait... That doesn't make the choice random... :?

Hey! My music teacher told me about Dizzie a week ago! I love jazz! Anyone know the song "Two o'clock junp"? So good.

Well, I don't think that you know the start of a sentence should start out with a capital letter.
I.E. I use techno it fits my style. (T)he letter after a period should be with a capital letter. These are important things that you should know by now especially if you ever have to type up a contract.
