Sounds like you need more than just card tricks, but not a bad start.

Not bad, boring as edited because it is just cards. I wouldn't take a job if I knew only six effects. As I was told by a magician that performs at The Magic Castle, "you should be able to perform for two hours with just a deck of cards."

The 2 hours does not have to be all tricks thought, as Koz once told me he was asked to do a show for a longer running time then his routine performed. Instead of adding more tricks he slowed down and joked and fooled around with them, this goes to show its not all about tricks but presentation.

In the first routine, card to box or card to pocket should be the ending for your ambi card routine, and then you leave the other one out.

Don't know any of the tricks in the second routine, though.

You should use more objects than just cards.

not a bad start, but as stated before it needs a bit more variety than just cards.

As for myself , I try to keep card effects to a minimum.(maybe 2 or 3)
then I do coins or something else.
The reason is because so many people have seen card magic.
When they see you pull out a deck of cards they think
" oh great, another pick a card trick. yawn  ".

this is just my 2 cents worth

For street magic, walk around really isn't the best way to go. Unless you have a camera crew, almost everyone will turn you down.

if you do alot of card tricks, people kinda lose intrest, but throw in some easy coin tricks, and a couple gimmicks if you think you got the basics down, and you'll do pritty well. and maybe pick up a stripper deck.

i do quite well with cards

theres a thing called Cruisin Grand where there are a lot of old cars lined up and a bunch of people

but all i have is a deck of cards and spongeballs and i set up a table out side the magic shop and i do fine

its all in presentation

and people wont lose interest if you do things other than magic such as actually get to know the audience and joke around and such

I also leave a hat on the corner of the table for tips just incase but i dont care about that as much id say that in about half an hour ill make about 15 dollars

but then again i dont do a hat line, they can give me a tip if they want but they dont have to

and i love doing this for right now until im done forming my busking routine

i do alot of card tricks, not just pick-a-card tricks either. some red and black tricks, some mentalism, and out of this world will blow peoples minds. also some tricks that the spectator can just watch the magic happen. theres so much you can do with a deck of cards. buy RRTCM

I am like Jay with sponge balls and smoking monkey with card wallets. I am the RRTCM fanatic. You know I like Linking Mints (Some know it as Magic Mints). That is fun.

Me? No it was my first magic book and so I suggest it to everyone. Magic Mints is incredible. Small and easy to carry.
