Well im praticing getting out of differnt ways here, tieing myself up with a 50ft of rope and 4 handcuffs on a chair, the fastest time I could get out of all of it is 1min 27sec.

How do you tie yourself up? Seems hard to me. I'm not really into escapology, but sometimes my little brother and I will tie each other up and see how fast we can get out. He's 7, though, so he has a little bit of a disadvantage... still fun, though.

Your tying your self up with 4 pairs of cuffs on, while sitting on a chair.
Yah, i am sure thats real effective.
If you tie yourself up, of course it will be a lot easier to get out.

And words mean nothing to me.
Though 1:27 for that isnt hard, being that you did it all yourself. .
So I dont consider that real practice.
If I did it, you'd be stuck for a bit-and i wouldnt need to use cuffs.

And are the cuffs even real? Put on correctly?

When i train i have trained people tie me up- army, navy, Eagel scouts.

Some advice; get some one else to do the tying

So yor question is pointless, as I dont waste time tying myself up.

I have to agree with David. When I started learning, I had my uncle tie me up (was in the Navy, now does body building, as well as respiratoy therapist). I also had my father (grew up on a ranch, and did construction most of his life) as well as some of his buddies (Air Force, and Army) tie me up.

If you want to practice, it's a great idea to have people tie you up who know what they are doing. If you don't, then you will run into problems in the future. Because sooner or later, if you do this in your shows, you will be tied up by people who know what they are doing. And then you're screwed.

first of all, the handcuffs are real, It was 1 am when I did this so everyone was asleep, and i know i did it so it would be easyer but I tryed to make it hard for myself. It wasn't really "pratice" just playing around and wasting time.

thanks though

Stop worrying about time; think about PRESENTATION.

Also, there are 'handcuffs' and there are 'handcuffs'; they're not all alike.

Real? Fake? The audience doesn't know the difference. Anything outside of presentation is pointless posturing; don't let ego take over - keep a foot in reality.

You really have to keep your story straight. You first say it's practice, and then once you are told that it isn't the best idea, you decide to call it something else. It's easier just to admit that you are wrong, and take advice of other people. That's how people improve.

Then dont come on here bragging about it...

Just try to get some real practice is, or if no one is around think about what you could do to make an escape better, presentation wise.

I sit up late some nights, just doing that. I have books full of escapes, and books full of presentation.
