I was wondering how this repertoire for older kids parties a bunch of card tricks like paperclipped, invisible deck, card toon, maybe a dove or rabbit production or vanish, TT, some fire magic and a couple of illusions like head twister and at the end the exploding glass table trick.

Feedback appreciated it's a 35 min show.

You really don't tell us what's in your repertoire. You have to be more specific.

nope...those tricks would be great if you were doinga strolling/walkaround or table hopping gig...

as for a show, those are aweful trick selections. You would be in front of a larger group and you would need items and tricks that are much more visible.

Try again.

When you say older kids parties, do you mean birthday type parties with 5-10 or so kids? If so, most/all these tricks would be great. But if it's 50 or more kids, some of these tricks may not work that great.

I meant ages 10 and up but I'm gonna get the kids involved in the show too of course so they would come and help me do the trick so everybody can see it. I work with a clown and my show is strictly magic so i think those tricks may be pretty good specially the glass breaking table at the end, some dove production or dissapearance and some fire magic. The card tricks are just fillers for in between larger illusions.

People shorter than you will see the bottom of the invisible deck unless you're squatting. Ditto with Paperclipped. Two tricks you don't want people below you.

Most people wont want you doing fire magic in their houses or yards. I know I surely wouldnt want someone playing with fire around my house. Especially when there are little kids around, who will be looking up to you. Not the greatest idea.

how many 10 11 and 12 year olds do you know that want a magician. Even 10 year olds have girlfriends these days and a magician will not add to their cool factor, they would rather eat out of a dustbin.

Sadly it is! Just another kid show wannabie. How can I do this without putting anything into it.
Just don't answer them, as hard as that may be just don't.
Flight2- Where are you?
Just wondering how your first shows went (honestly). Not hearing back from him sort of sends out the signal that he did just the way most of us thought that he would do.

Your insurance, if it is IBM or SAM has an exclusion for fire magic. You DO have performers liability don't you? If you don't then see if your health insurance covers psychological treatments.

I just got informed that the bday party is for kids around 6 years old, i ordered the peanut butter and jelly, dancing handkerchief, cups and balls, sponge balls, sponge rabbits and the fantasma legendary magic set which is gonna hoook me up with a table.

What do you guys think of this tricks for a 6 year old bday girl? Don't worry about the performance i already practiced that.

So let's see........

You accepted a gig without knowing who it was for, or how old the child was.....
You had no idea what to do.......
You just ordered a few effects, and have apparently rehearsed them completely to show performance level, even though you don't even have the effects yet........

I'd say you're set. Your birthday party is gonna be a huge success! You'll floor them! They'll be spreading the word within minutes of your departure, and they will be beating down your door! Why, I wouldn't be surprised if you'll be offered a TV special within the next month!

No, you don't have a manager you have a 'contracter' who books shows for you and then takes some off the top. Having a manager means absolutely nothing haha. You don't have a show you are just now ordering the effects and you think the magic is going to keep six year olds spell bound.
About the only thing that you are going to make disappear is your short lived career.haha!
