I'm thinking of doing:

(opener, which i dont know yet)
zombie
vanishing ketchup
closer-bisection

It's for next year, I'm trying to prepare very early.

Thanks in advance.

Make zombie your closer, bisection your opener, vanishing ketchup bottle and another trick in the middle. Bisection is very attention-getting, and zombie is an eerie effect that's very magical and would be best as a closer.

Okay. After zombie is levitated and comes back down, I can pull the cloth off to show them?

Will this presentation be around 3 minutes approx?

No. The Zombie itself can easily eat up 3-5 minutes. If you are under a time constraint, you may need to rethink.

I would find some very eerie music and simply do an elegant Zombie routine.

What is there to do with the Zombie? Don't you just like say a thing or two and just make it levitate, and that's it? What's there to it? Why does it take 3-5 minutes? I'm most likely not going to perform this in my show, but for future shows with no time limit. I'm just curious.

Oh there is so much that can be done with the zombie....float it around you, up over your shoulder, in front of the cloth. So versitile.

Really? It can float around your body? But is there much dialouge as your talking to the audience? I'm probably not going to do this for the talent show, then. Well, all I have is the vanishing kectchup and the bisection. A levitation one would be nice, but which one?

Thanks a lot.

Use some kind of eerie music as mentioned above.

Here's my thoughts:

You can either do a 3 minute act with several tricks and rush through each one, not giving it enough time to properly build and be a strong effect.

Or you could pick one trick (maybe you could have a quick opener like mouth coils or something) like zombie, and do a three minute act with that which will build to a high climax. You have a year to learn all the moves that jamesjay1 talked about, so why not give it a shot.

Performing with the feeling of having to hurry through everything is a terrible feeling for me.

Actually, I think your right. I think I can do bisection and zombie, Bisection as an opener, then zombie. Bisection has got to take about 30-45 seconds? I can use the rest of the time to do zombie, and if it's over 3 minutes, I'm sure they won't mind because they loved me in the past years....

Thanks. You think it's an alright routine?

Thanks.

This is the zombie, right? About how long does the setup for bisection and zombie going to take. Our backstage in the talent show isn't too big, about how long will it take for the setup for both? Do I have to set up the gimmick each time I perform it?

(I don't want other people in the show to see my setup)

Thanks in advance.
