The levitation was done in front of a live audience of over 3000 people walking down the streets of Vegas. He even went so far as to advertise he was going to do it before it happened, and anyone was welcome to come.

I personally think any exposure and interest in magic is excellent. Magicians really are endangered. The average person can probably name 4 or 5 well known magicians at most. Whether or not Mr. Angel uses tons of lame tricks..like editing...he has still created much utility for the magic community. The fact is...he's entertaining. It's show-biz. He's making a ton of money and creating interest in magic at the same time. I'd be doing the same thing if I were him. He wouldn't be where he is now if he was doing your average cup and ball routine. I'd guess 90% of his audience has never learned a magic trick and is soaking him up. I hope more magicians hit the spotlight. I'm ok with him as long as he doesn't do a lame camera trick like disappearing the statue of liberty

It is funny how someone else in the room with me noticed that in the ring link one ring was gold and the other was silver. I just wish that he would pay more attention to the details before doing a trick.

The statue of Liberty was not a camera trick in all as the seated audiance saw what we the TV audiance saw. I knew of some of the people involved with the set-up.

I just hate it when people say that you must not be a good magician if you can't do what Criss Angle does, but then mabey he can't do what I can, oh I would not use that thick of a rope to do the chair escape. I would like to see him get out of the "Escape Kings Chair".

I am not a big fan of the Camera Tricks myself and I really don't give a hoot about Criss Angel anymore.

I agree with "X" that while other magicians may have extreme opinions about him, he has raised the laymen’s interest in magic. If we working magicians can benefit from that, super for us!

I can say this with confidence though… At least my hair is natural in color and length!

Overall this episode was rather boring. There were absolutely no close-up trics!?. what the edited! Most of the episode was hype for the end. Oh wait, he did do "saw" for billy f. gibbons. That was one of my favorite parts.I LOVE Z.Z. TOP! I tought the safety guy for the underwater stunt was funny. "IT'S MERKY! THE WATER'S TOO MERKY!" now thats what i call bad acting.

When you stop posting bad comments against other magicians and actually go out and try and perform an underwater escape you will see how much time matters. If you're off by a couple of seconds you could loose your life. It's really important. Also, if a trick seems like a miracle then it's a good trick and he should perform it. If anybody could pierce a hole through a coin I wouldn't do that trick. If anybody could link two seemingly solid rings together the trick wouldn't be any good but since not everybody can it becomes a good trick.

As for Mr. Angel, if he wants to do camera tricks, I say he does. He's a working magician and not everything is real. Actually, nothing is real. Nothing is real for any magician. Magic is all about slight of hand, smoke, and mirrors. If I was in his position and got a great idea about a trick but figured it could only be done with a camera then I would do it. The only thing I am against is using fake reactions from people after he does a trick.

The Luxor levitation was a real live levitation, it almost had to be, but that doesn't mean Angel could not have enhanced the effect with camera trickery for television. Since there was never a far off shot just zoomed in to up close on him, and every close-up shot was cut to, I think the close-up shots were all edits done with cgi. In one shot it was even obvious that cgi was used because as the camera was going all the way around him he was turning with it. Whether that was just creative editing or camera trickery is debatable, but its fact that that one shot did have editing. I feel like all the other close-up shots had edits as well.

And what about the levitation in the atrium? That was straight out cgi in my opinion. I personally feel like he made everyone there think he was going to jump off and filmed them, and then got releases from them telling them he was under stress or whatever from the show, and said he would use some clips in the show, but then instead edited them in with the cgi effect of him floating.

But its like I've said, I don't see anything wrong with camera trickery anymore, so it really doesn't matter to me if Angel uses them or not.

I liked the underwater escape with Dog, but I found it kind of pointless because from what I've seen people just don't care that much about escapes anymore, so I personally wouldn't do a life risking escape. But if Angel has a deathwish then he can do it if HE wants to lol.

Overall I thought the episode was pretty disapointing though.
