Oops Deck (Deck and DVD) by Michael Daniels - DVD

Now Here, as introduced in Antinomy Magazine: The Oops! Deck

A unique torn and restored card routine...and much more. They WILL remember this one! Your spectator will be left with a signed and restored card unlike anything they have ever seen. Oops! is not limited to T&R effects. There are unlimited routine possibilities. Oops! cards will open up a whole new dimension in card magic.

Incredible, impossible, inspectable.....Oops!

Effects Taught: Oops!----MisMade-----3WayChange

PLUS How to prepare your Oops Card!

Effect Descriptions:

Oops! - The classic torn and restored card effect with a twist by Michael Paul and a single Oops! card. Your spectators will remember this one!

MisMade - A card is selected at random by your spectator. The spectator folds the card into quarters, and the card is signed. After a moment of the card being held in the spectators' closed fist, it transforms into a "mismade" card, complete with the signature!

3Way Change - After a short patter about card companies and mis-printed cards, you offer to provide an example. An entire deck is shown to be mis-printed, including the box. You correct the problem visually. A single card transforms to a normally printed card in your hands. Then at the next moment it is seen that the entire deck has been corrected.....then the box has been corrected too. All while they are sitting in full view!

Time Zone by John Vincent & Alakazam Magic - Tricks

A THREE-PHASE MENTAL ROUTINE

PHASE ONE.

You borrow a watch (or use your own), place it face down and step away from it. Then you tell your spectators that you can keep accurate time in your mind and know exactly to the second what the time will be whenever your volunteer looks at the watch. You then proceed to demonstrate this uncanny ability with all the flair of the most amazing magician on this planet.

"Ok, that was impressive but I'd like to take this even further..."

PHASE TWO

You ask your volunteer to write down (or just name) any number between 1 and 60, lets say they name 16. You place the watch face down, step away from it and tell your volunteer that they can look at the watch whenever they like and that you will try and influence them to look at it exactly when the second hand is at 16 seconds past. Of course when they look at the watch the location of the second hand exactly matches the number they chose and your reputation grows... but there is more!

"This time, let's make it really impossible..."

PHASE THREE

This time they secretly write down a number between 1 and 60 without showing it to you; let us say they write down 47. Again, you are able to influence them to look at the watch exactly at 47 seconds past.

The Collected Card Magic of Mark Leveridge Vol. 1 - Book

For over 30 years Mark Leveridge has gradually been creating a portfolio of card effects and routines where the accent is on practicality and entertainment value. In the first of four projected volumes The Collected Card Magic of Mark Leveridge - Volume 1 offers the reader 15 commercial effects, all of which should be within the capabilities of everyone except the total beginner.

Instead of padding out this book with minor technical variations, or with descriptions of esoteric card sleights and moves, Mark has chosen to provide a range of varied, interesting and above all individual tricks which will delight anyone who is looking for card tricks to actually perform for real.

While most of the material is designed for close up, there are also included some routines for the stand up performer. The contents are:

I'm Surprised You Didn't Notice, Name Dropper, Switchback, Give Me A Number, Instant Card Reversal, The Unprint Button, Cards On Parade, My Card Transpo, New Aces Through Newspaper, The Thought Indicator Cards, Spin Out, Pacey Aces, Three Card Tricky, Ultimate Jumbo Stretch and Brainstormer.

This Collection provides a wonderful way to get your hands on Mark's card effects from the past right up to the present, and the complete set will assemble all of his best card material in the one place. Some of the effects included are still sold as stand alone products, which makes the book extremely good value.

The book is A5 perfect bound, runs to 70 pages and is illustrated with a combination of line drawings and black and white photographs.

SLL Top Up Kit by Alan Wong - Trick

Spice up your existing Souvenir Linking LoverBands routine with this special, custom made top up kit! Create the perfect SLL experience for Valentine's Day, weddings, engagement parties, anniversaries, or just show this to the special lady you fall in love with!

The SLL top up kit includes a chrome polished cupid's arrow specially designed for the Linking LoverBands, and twenty matching round red bands. Send the cupid's arrow through two single hearts and apparently link them together in the hands of two lovers!

For the extra touch, start with the normal matching color round bands and morph them into hearts and finally link them together.

Quote from Steve Marshall on SLL (MUM magazine 2010 January issue) ," The thing that made this my favorite effect to perform in 2009 is the look on a spectator's face when I hand her the linked bands, and tell her that she can keep them. As I watched people playing with the linked bands I actually felt, for a moment, that I had done real magic. And that's a pretty rare feeling."

The SLL Top Up Kit are assessories for the SLL routine which are sold separately

This kit does not include SLL Linking LoverBands or instructions.

Coin Box Killers by Doug Brewer - Book

Stand-up Routines for the Coin Worker's Favorite Prop

Each one of these routines has a unique need or presentation built into them. For example, the first three routines, Wile E. Coyote Coin Box, Translocated Okito Box, and The Flying Stupendas, are my "special occasion" routines. These are a little longer in performance time and may require a close-up pad, but in the right place, they kill.

The next two routines, Brass Trio and The Invisible, are my 2 copper/1 silver routines for the coin box and are two of the strongest routines in the book.

The two routines after that are Fidget Simplified (a reworking of one of my favorite spellbound-type routines) and Okit-O, Cheat-O, a routine from my magician friend, Syd Segal. Both are copper/silver/brass routines that use all three coins to great advantage.

After that, three of my walk-around routines are taught. These are Exporter, Bertram Revisited, and Stand-up Box Through Hand. If anything you learn from this book, include these three. They are strong and practical routines that I use consistently in my strolling and banquet work.

As a kind of fun challenge, I've included a routine of mine called Progressive Assembly. It started out as a challenge to myself - the plot intrigued me. So, I've included my version of it here.

Finally, the book concludes with the routines, The Promoter and Rice Surprise, that use the coin box as a production container - an unusual use in most routines. You will be pleasantly surprised at how much magic can be hidden in a simple coin box. Every routine in this book is meant to be performed standing with no lap work required.

Bendix Bombshell Wallet by Dave Bendix and Martin Breese - Trick

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN COUNTLESS YEARS

"If the wallet were not enough Martin gives you a fantastic book incorporating lots of great routines and idea by some of the greatest names in magic. Needless to say it 's produced to the very high standard that we have come to expect from Martin." -- Barrie Segal

This Bendix Bombshell Wallet was invented by Dave Bendix and has long been unavailable. The good news is that it is now available direct from Martin Breese or from your favourite dealer world-wide.

Unique and Ingenious: The wallet is unique and ingenious and enables you to perform the signed card to deck without sleight of hand or palming and no stealing of a card from the deck is required at all.

The wallet is made to the highest standards for me by Tony Curtis in Thailand and is much better than the original version first produced in the 1980s.

The wallet comes complete with a large A4 book containing routines from talented magicians and magical creators such as the late Ed Marlo, Roberto Giobbi, David Solomon, Dave Bendix, Phil Goldstein, Bob Driebeek, Roy Roth, Peter Isaacs and Borodin. There are nearly 12,000 words of explanation and routines plus illustrations. Many performers rate the Bendix Bombshell as the best magical wallet ever!

Devious Volume 2 by Michael Close and L&L Publishing - DVD

It has been a dozen years since Michael Close has released any material on DVD. His last collection - The Ultimate Workers - was lauded for both its quality of material and its thoroughness of instruction. These were the routines that defined the word "worker."

Well, Michael is back, and his goal remains the same: to entertain and profoundly fool everyone he performs for, whether they are laymen or magicians. You'll laugh, you'll be amazed, and when you find out how these routines work you'll say, "Man, that guy is devious."

For the past decade, Michael has been living and working in Las Vegas, a town where a deck of cards is a commonplace object. On this two-disc DVD set, Michael focuses on card magic, with routines suitable for formal settings, strolling, casual performances, and those special times when you want to crush the brains of your magic buddies. As before, Michael's explanations take you far beyond the "how" of each trick into discussions of the "why" of each routine. A large amount of supplemental information is also imparted.

So, sit back, relax, and get ready to have a great time. Getting fooled was never so much fun.

Volume TWO

Set 1 (For Casual Performances)

The Way of the Duck - A fresh presentation for an amazing revelation of two freely selected cards.

The Matching Miracle - An Ed Marlo routine streamlined by Harry Riser.

Harry's Faro Trick - Harry Riser had forgotten about this amazing card discovery. It was published in M-U-M, but has never appeared on video.

Set 2 (G.C. Extravaganza)

Red See Passover - Michael's presentation and handling of Simon Aronson's great effect.

A Handling for Dean and Weber's A New World - Michael's approach allows for an effect that no other version can duplicate.

Dancers at the End of Time - A classic from Workers 2. Brother John Hamman's Underground Transposition takes a side trip through the Twilight Zone.

Set 3 (A Lesson in Routining)

Sideswiped - Another great Simon Aronson effect.

The Bammo Deck Walloper - Michael's handling of this effect is so good, it fooled Bob Farmer, who (along with Gerald Kirchner) created it.

Set 4 (Magician Foolers)

Vernon Would Have Liked This - A very natural and elegant handling of an Ambitious Card effect.

Bedwell Meets Findley - An unusual combination of moves produces a stunning card control.

The Stewart James Prank - A lesson in how to punk your pals.

Running Time Approximately: 2hr 07mins

Hippity Hop Rabbits - 7" (WOOD) - Trick

A classic in magic, now in a 7 inch size!

Illusion: Two wooden rabbits-a white rabbit and a black rabbit with two wooden decorated covers are placed on a table. The wooden cover with white top hat is placed over the white rabbit and the one with black top hat is placed over the black rabbit. The trick is for the rabbits to change their places. After this amazing feat happens a few times the audience gets wise and yells out they want to see the back of the rabbits.

Finally, to clear the doubts of the spectators and show your magical powers, the reverse side of both the rabbits are shown to have a Yellow back and the other a red back.

These are the mini version and measure approximately 7.5 inches from the base to the ears.

Professor's Nightmare (World's Greastest Magic) - DVD

In the mid-Fifties, Bob Carver created a sensation with a rope effect he created based on ideas from Hen Fetsch. In fact, before he could be awarded the IBM Originality Trophy in 1957, he had to expose his creation's pure sleight-of-hand method to the judges. Later dubbed Professor's Nightmare by Gene Gordon, the effect of three completely examinable ropes of differing lengths magically becoming the same size has become a classic of magic.

On this DVD, you'll meet six different performers, all with their own singular takes on this wonderful effect. Funnyman Michael Finney starts off with his version, honed by years of exposition on countless comedy club stages and he shares many performance tips that make the routine both easier and stronger. Dan Fleshman follows with a great walk-around version that would fit quite nicely into the repertoire of any strolling performer. The great Bob Read's performance is an object lesson in how to take a well-known effect and make it truly your own while Al Schneider's version brings the mystery of this effect to the close-up table. Marc DeSouza is next with a stage routine choreographed to music that features a synthesis of ideas that begin and end with a single length of rope. Finally, Dan Tong also begins with a single piece of rope, continues through the Professor's Nightmare sequence, and ends with a completely restored length, a perfect routine for working a large table while strolling.

Many have relegated the Professor's Nightmare to a stock trick but this is a mistake. As Michael Finney so aptly says, "Don't be embarrassed to do it. It's a great trick. The layman loves it...and you'll like it!"

Professor's Nightmare - Michael Finney

Professor's Nightmare - Dan Fleshman
