This is another one of those effects that we all see at magic shops when we first start out. I have said it before and I will say it again; these things are classics and have stood the test of time for a reason.

These things are AWESOME and have SO many possibilities in presentation and transitions between effects... I can't reccomend the rope to silk enough if you don't have it. Really easy to do and these things are quality made; they last a long time!

Not to mention that they are only around 6-7 dollars a piece. If you don't have one now, pick this up. In addition, the scripts that come with these are fantastic and ready for a proffesional performance.

Good trick for any rope routine, and very easy to perform. Great for kids, as they like quick, visual effects. Not examinable, but not a big deal, as no one ever really asks to see it.

I love this trick when it comes to performing for kids! The reactions are priceless, and for the money it takes to buy this trick, well worth it! Silk and rope are both great quality and I give this trick my recommendation.

The "rope" (looks more like thick string IMO) is yellow, the silk is red... At least mine is. I think its neat as crap! People dont expect it and is a nice transition from a rope segment to a silk segment... or say u want to use a silk to change the color of a cane (how I use this propt) after you rope act instead of putting down the rope "ditch" it and bring in this. I say its a steal for the price too!

This is a simple almost self working trick for beginners. Limited practice will allow most to present within an hour. Add this in with a series of rope and silk tricks. It is weak as a stand alone.

The first time I did this simple little effect for was a fellow magician who stopped, blinked then laughed because he was totally unprepared for it. I highly recommend it for kids shows as well as for around the bar it works well.

Cool trick, very eazy to do, requires apsolutly NO SKILL AT ALL, you have the set up the trick before hand which takes3-4 seconds, and after turning it into ahe silk you have to set it up again (3-4 seconds). Trick is eazy to do, you get it out of the package and you can do it! I would practice it infront of the mirror a few times so you can make sure nothing "shows". but like i said, VERY EAZY TO DO, WILL TAKE YOU 2 SECONDS TO DO IT!

-BETTER FOR KID SHOWS OR DOING THE TRICK INFRONT OF KIDS.

I really like this trick, it is so easy to do! I got this in a magic kit though, but the Rope to Silk trick is my favourite trick in that kit. The reason why I gave it four stars is because after a while the rope won't stand up perfectly, but it's good for the price. This trick is fabulous for beginners, add this one to your next order!

This is great for beginners to practice performance. The profit-sharing basic and cheaply made. Don't underestimate the need for easy to learn tracks for beginners. You may want to upgrade to the 18 inch.

It's a bit cheap and tacky but if you do kid's magic or just want a small gag to throw into your act then it's worth the small investment. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a serious effect though.
