havent tested how long the smoke lasts with each drop of glicerin. video is 2 mins long. ridiculous. it gets burning hot when u push the button. where can you attach this on yourself in a safe spot? seems like an incomplete product. needs some sort of apparatus to make this a worker.

This smoke device is small. The remote is functional and gives you many options. The problem is the unit get so hot it can’t be anywhere near your body. I own all of the other smoke devices out there and I was really excited about the remote operation. I have only used my unit about six times and already it’s gotten so hot that it’s melted the shrink wrap that holds everything together. The little blower fan also has stopped working from what I can tell is the shrink wrap melting over the fan blades. This is totally unacceptable for a unit that costs $200. I’m a working professional here in Chicago and rushing this unit to market before ironing out these problems is bad business. Listen up Penguin you have to test these units before you send them out to your loyal customers. I’m hoping they will make good and let me return my unit. Maybe I got a bad unit but from looking at the other reviews it sounds like this excessive heat issue was simply ignored.

This thing is amazing. Tiny enough to hide inside a match box. Remote controlled. Plenty of smoke. What else could someone expect?
I'm a real smoke lover (albeit I don't smoke lol). Have all the previous devices, even those not sold by PM (like Smoke eGo- also cool, check it). I think this natural phenomenon enhances every kind of trick, once done wisely and at the right moment. And I really appreciate the improvements that creators keep developing as time goes by- size, activation mode, smoke amount...etc. I didn't understand very well the review from the friend above (or below, I don't know), but each device has its appropriated use. There are plenty of options in the market, with a great price variety. With Smoggler R we are really close to the state of art. Can't wait for what's coming tomorrow! ; )

So based off of other peoples' reviews, I was convinced that this device could either a) get way too hot and not be useful on me, or b) the fan will stop working...
So far, I've been practicing with it and it seems promising. Honestly, the smoke device doesn't get too hot if you know where to put it. Yes, it can get hot if you place it directly under your watch or something but there are other ways to hide it under your watch or wherever without direct contact with your skin. You will find ways to do this sleeveless, but if your plans are to make something far away smoke, this is hands down the product. The remote functionality is basically just like it's demonstrated in the video. Here's a list of my feelings:
Pros:
- Pretty silent; nobody will really hear the fan
- VERY small, lots of places to hide it
- Remote functionality is incredible (especially gravity)
- Charging time is pretty quick, about 5-10 mins depending on what you plug it into.
- Produces thick, white smoke and a lot of it, too
Cons:
- Does get hot after a while, but not too bad if you know where to put it
- Smoke smells a bit like something is burning if you directly sniff it (not that you would, but I'm just letting you know that it's noticeable).
- Instructions are VERY vague, they don't even tell you WHEN to refill it. Just how to refill, how to charge, etc. I can't really tell when I need to refill the device other than when it can't make anymore smoke. The instructions are not clear on this matter.
- Can be fragile if you do something wrong like put too much liquid and all that, especially the fan.

All in all, this is a really nice smoke machine and a lot of magicians can use it. Now, for the price, I'm not sure if it's worth it considering it's not really thought out that well (I expected at least a higher-quality video), but if you can get this on Openbox or you don't mind the minor cons then it's a steal. At least I can say it does what it advertises, and if you get creative you can do great things with it.

The device is clever, small enough to be concealed under a watch band and very easy to use, but WARNING - it gets VERY hot on the skin very very quickly.

I am providing a review of several products I recently purchased. The products are: Kinetic PK Ring (Silver Beveled) and the Kinetic PK Ring (Black Curved), both by Jim Trainer; Smoggler R by Cigma Magic, and Bicycle Standard Blue in “New Box.” You can read each review from the appropriate product listing.

Smoggler R: It is possible that the unit that I purchased was a factory defect; it happens in almost every product. The unit that I got produced a weak stream of smoke. It also got burning hot after 5 to 10 seconds. Needless to say, I was disappointed with the product and am requesting a full refund. If it worked as advertised it would have made a tremendous complementary effect with a particular routine. I read another review that mentioned the burning heat from the unit, so I doubt that it’s an isolated occurrence. The concept is good but the product is poor.

They say that there is a "sucker born every day." That was me when I bought this product. Where do I begin!? First, the item was defective. It is not at all reliable. If you want to know how the product works you will receive a 2 minute video of a guy who can barely speak English explaining how to press a button and connect the device. That was a bad sign. No explanation or insight about how to use this product. For a $200.00 product and a fancy video, you would expect more. But forget the horrible video. The product malfunctions straight from the start. Once you click on button it starts firing smoke prematurely. It over heats. It dies quickly pe fire you can even perform. It's just a really,,,REALLY bad product.

Smoggler is a great little unit.
It produces a good amount of smoke.
On some of the reviews, you may see, that the unit gets hot.
Yes, it does, especially if you wear it under a watch strap.
I attached a pen clip to mine, using a cable tie. This way it sits on top of the watch strap, away from your wrist. By doing this it also allows for the fan to work better, thus producing a better stream of smoke.
A little while ago, my cat decided to chew the charging cable. This is very small, so I needed a replacement. Penguin Magic and Cigma Magic very kindly sent me a replacement at no cost. Excellent service. Smoggler for me, is great. I think it could do with a few refinements, like better more robust charging cable, and a clip to attach to strap., but other than that excellent. Great product, great backup service.

smuggler r dont work that well I would not buy another. the first one stopped working I sent it back. the sec one dosn,t put out that much smoke

There is little to no explanation for this product. It gets really HOT when used so don't use it in your hand! I may use it remotely if I can put it where it won't ruin something. I prefer Smoke Screen by Magic Smith at half the price and safer.
