I just re-discovered this trick as I was trying to add something different to my close-up show. It's
an old trick, but I remember people use to love it. Some reviewers say that the method is weak and
that they had poor reactions. That was not my experience.
Creativity really shows through. This is awesome. If you perform any kind of strolling magic then
you have an opportunity with this trick to perform something different and something that you can
guarantee your spectators have never seen before. This is simple, and the method may seem easy, but
care needs to be taken in proper execution. Properly executed your spectators will swear you did
nothing. Poorly executed and they will see right through it. The choice is yours. Either way don't
underestimate the power of Stained Glass
I think this is a VERY clever concept. It sets you up for some interesting concepts and
presentational ideas. There is also a DVD out on this trick that helps out a little with the ideas.
The props you get aren't fantastic, being that glass is so easy to break. I suggest this for the
ideas, not really for the trick
I think the other reviews are from real magical wizards who don't know that no magic isn't always no
prep any time anywhere kinda stuff. It's not perfect. It takes some prep. If you can write well you
can do it. When you get it you wont like the secret but your audience will. So give it a try. Im NOT
SAYNIG IM RICH but it's a little 12 bucks. Do a 30 minute kid show and get 15 bucks! You will love
it!
Although initial reactions are just okay, most spectators are smarter than this. Not a good choice
to spend your money on.
This is not a "trick", if you could call it that, that is at all magic. In fact there isn't anything
magic about it. The underlying mechanism of the product is easily discovered by spectators. Even if
performed well, spectators deduce how the trick is done. Leaving the performer looking foolish
indeed.
Been fairly versed in magic I would say this is the worst trick I have ever had the
displeasure on spending my money on. It now collects dust in a box... the only thing that
dissappeared was money from my wallet, nothing magical about that. Honestly, this product is so bad
that its sale should be reconsidered. (If I had a shop I'd stop stocking it).
Avoid this,
you have been warned!
Stained Glass is a clever idea, but it's not any more impressive than a 3rd grade science
experiment. I was expecting some kind of creative gimmick that would allow me to perform some nice
effects, but I wound up with, well, really a disappointing product. Nothing gimmicked, and nothing
I couldn't buy for a buck at a hardware store. If you're into kids magic, I suppose-- really YOUNG
kids who've never seen a magician before, or don't have any access to any kids magic books or
anything, and haven't ever had a magic kit or haven't ever written anything a window before, this
would be a fine effect. You should do it right after you do the "watch me pull my finger off"
trick. Serious workers, stay clear of this. I really don't understand what the positive reviews
are seeing in this one. Save your money.
By the way, I realize I am buying an "effect" and
not the "materials" necessarily. But now I know better than to purchase an effect that doesn't have
an accompanying video.
Just got it yesterday, learned it in a few minutes, then I was astonishing my co-workers in no time.
Really simple, but really powerful.
Stained glass has to be one of the best tricks that can be fully examined afterwards. I love it,
simple yet packs a punch. i have been doing magic for 36 years now and it is one of my favorites.
this thing really sucks. i paid for his full dvd full of other really crappy tricks. mayby it would
fool a 7 year old... and the only worth while trick, the one where you put the letters through the
glass, is no fun to do, since there is no skill involved. the only enjoyment comes from the
reaction, and its an empty feeling.
