Six cards are placed face down on the table in a row. The magician then designates the cards by numbering them from one end to the other 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. A die is handed to the spectator, who looks it over carefully. The die is rolled, and whatever number comes up is the card that will be used. Let's say the number is 3.

A good idea but it's pretty obvious. Some people will be baffled by this trick but there will be a fair amount who will think it's kind of silly. End ending can be pretty shocking and unexpected but honestly, I wouldn't recommend this trick. The description makes it sound better than it actually is. You're pretty much just paying for the 3 1/2 card here.
