If you are just beginning your magic don't know much magic at all then sure, perhaps this would be a
good DVD. If however you know even a little magic this DVD is a total waste of time. Most of the
tricks he shows are practically self-working.

Chris's work does a great job of drawing attention to magic. We should all appreciate the excitement
he creates for the younger generation. Unfortunately many of his demonstrations are not practical
for magicians learning the craft. Magicians seeking to learn real magic should invest in some good
books.

If you are a big fan of Criss Angel, then you'll probably want to pick this up. This is Criss' first
season and there is a lot of good stuff on this. This is a performance only DVD so don't buy this
expecting to learn his tricks. Criss brings a fresh new style of magic to the table. The price is
right too. Pick this up with some of his other seasons, and you'll really enjoy it.

Okay here we go, If you like the TV show and want to see it again then this is of coarse for you, or
if you are a Criss Angel fan then this is also for you! His first season is one of my favorites.
What else can I say? 15 episodes of magic, what more do you want? HAHA I guess it's also because I'm
a Criss Angel fan too.

Criss has really taken the lead with championing magic in this new century. He is the premier
magician and has put his own spin on several classic effects. Sure, he uses a few stooges, but many
of his effects are not done with "paid performers" as some would think. I enjoyed this season.

Very disappointed. Criss Angel has an edgy style that is very appealing but his tricks are terrible.
It would the equivalent of George Lucas becoming a magician - Special effects, camera tricks, paid
audience and so forth.
If you are a magic purest - that is, that it should be all craft and skill - then you will not enjoy this. If you are a hobbyist that is easily impressed then this is the show for you. Imagine watching a show where everyone is in on the joke, except for you. That's what this show is like. You know, for the most part, that most of the people you see around the effects are accomplices. Stick with real magicians. Go Oz, you rock. Did this review help you?

This is a really good series of magic. A lot of the material on these DVDs is unbelievable. They do
not teach any magic effects but you can watch Criss and learn a lot from his presentation just as
you can from watching any other magician perform. Get it. The price of this set is quite
unbelievable itself. Really really WORTH it.
