Prediction Impossible by Jay Sankey (Trick Only) Stun your spectators by performing a "test conditions" demonstration of your clairvoyant powers!
In stock: usually ships within 24 hours!
You turn toward one of your spectators, make strong eye contact and ask, Do you believe you have free will? Whatever the answer, you gaze into her eyes for a moment and then sketch a prediction on a slip of paper. You fold it up, and ask her to place it in her pocket. Now you show your spectator five cards, each with a different psychic symbol. You instruct her to shuffle the cards behind her back and slip one of the five cards into a small envelope. Imagine the feeling she experiences as she pulls the paper out of her pocket, un-folds it, and finds that her free choice matches your prediction.
Q: Does it work every time?

This is a great piece of mentalism. It includes 5 cards with a different psychic symbol on each one and the spectator freely selects one. On a piece of paper that has been in full view the entire time it has a symbol on it and it matches the spectators selection. It is self working and easy to do.

With this trick , tonnes of applications of mentalism are possible. The reason it got a 4 star is because the odd tough cookie spectator will want to inspect the cards. The way to get around this is do the routine well and make sure that you floor your audience. Overall it is a Sankey or in other words, brilliant as usual.
perform with full confidence Report this review

this is trick that allow you to perform ESP-test to audience in the most convincing way,no FORCES or some easy-flashed gimmick, the method is so easy and this is totally undetectable. This allows beginners to build up their showman-skill without having to worry about the sleight of hand and angle difficulty. This is suitable for stage and close up show!but the only one star down is that, you can't perform it too often(more than once is considered risky) to the same audience otherwise this trick rocks!!!
So,if you are beginner who wanna have something strong but yet allows you to perform with full confidence, add this to your chart now.
p/s I am pro but this trick is still in my repertoire,so get it!
Not examinable Report this review
Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on August 13th, 2004
The trick itself is clever, but the cards are not examinable, and the trick takes a while to actually perform unless you rush through it (which is bad). A lot of Sankey's products are clever, but I don't recommend this one

Great effect! Better than any other mentalism with specialized cards! I figured it by watching the video several times and several sleepless nights, but no spectator will have a clue as the to secret. Awesome mentalism, because you convince the spec completely that he did everthing!
But beware doing this on grabby/curious spectators....

Great piece of Mentalism! I have perfomed this several times, with great reactions. NEVER MISS!! Yes, not everything is examinable, but I have never gotten any heat from any performance.
Great for Beginners Report this review

Here is a great Sankey trick if you are a beginner looking to get into mentalism magic. The cards do all the work for you so you won't need to practice a whole lot before being able to perform it. I think there are some more powerful mentalist tricks out there but if you are just starting out, then pick this up and you'll be happy with it.
Ok effect, bad routine Report this review

I like the general idea of the effect, but I've seen much better versions of it. The big problem with this one is that you don't want to put gaffed cards into a spectator's hands, especially when you don't have to.
The better way to do this effect is to have 5 envelopes and put one card in each; mix them, and have a spectator choose one. Open the envelope and show what you need to show them. Then as you recap what has transpired and ask them to retrieve the prediction, clear all the evidence off the table. Then, do the reveal. Far safer and cleaner to do it this way, and in no way is the effect diminished.
