Way too overpriced and collecting dust in my closet. I suggest spending your money more wisely on a bunch of other effects. I'm really disappointed in spending my hard earned money on this effect that I hardly perform, other than Halloween.
Wow what a great product!!! Report this review

I am amazed by this trick. The explanation is amazing and the gimmick is very well built. The bad thing is that it might be somewhat overpriced. I think it was totally worth it though. If parts break you can always replace it, all parts are at a store. The reactions are amazing!
Andrew Mayne you have once again done it again.
PEOPLE THIS IS A MUST BUY, DON'T JUST LOOK AT IT AND SAY ITS OVERPRICED, GET IT, ITS ALL WORTH IT!
Overpriced, fake-looking Report this review

Completely fell apart on day 3. Very overpriced, chintzy, fake looking. I REALLY wanted this trick and was very excited to receive it, so I was very disappointed. I realize most reviewers were pleased, but I wish I had read more reviews giving the other side. I recommend saving your money.
I like it....but I like it more for stage Report this review

This is an effect that I feels plays better for the stage. You can do this on the street, but I personally would not as I feel you get better reactions on stage where there is a bit of distance and it looks a lot more incredible. (I knocked it 1/2 a star for this)
That being said, its not a bad effect. The DVD gives a great explanation, and the gimmick is very simple to learn to use. It does take practice. You arent going to open this and perform it the next day. You need to practice or you will loose the effect. There is a great deal of acting on your part and on the part of your victim. This is an effect that takes a great deal of confidence and a pinch of misdirection and you have a really strong effect.
Im bring it down another 1/2 star as you need a confederate. It doesnt mean the effect is bad, but when you have to bring someone into the secret it means you can not do this all the time. I do not shy away from prep work, but I feel that having a confederate is a whole different level of prep.
I bought it, I love it but I know it has limitation, so I want you the consumer to know that too. Now add it to your cart you know you want it!

this is a great trick i love it. i use it alot but it dose have it's pro's and con's
. can be done completely surrounded
. comes with full detail dvd that will have you preforming it within the hour you get it
. packs small
.it is more of for stage magic( it can be done as street magic if manipulated right
. you have to have pretty long arms
but besides that this trick is great, always gets great reactions

I want to note first, that this review is nothing against the creator. It's just that, this is more of a stage type effect and when it's being sold because David Blaine did it on the street, it's slightly misleading. Yes, it can be performed on the street if you can get the right angles, but I find that it's just not practical to perform this trick as a street magician. The price also leaves a little to be desired considering is included with the effect.

Andrew Mayne has a habbit of creating very visual and 'alternative' magic. Gut Buster is a great addition to his effects and a very different sort of magic trick. I love it.
The trick will require walking around with some slightly un-comfortable gimmicks, but if you like the effect then obviously it will be worthit!

For some reason I enjoyed the creative method behind it more than the trick itself. The gimmick can be a bit bulky but it seems more of a novelty or gag to me. I don't see walking around with it or even sitting down with the gimmick on to be practical so I believe street magic would be out of the question. This is one for stage. This cannot be done surrounding so I think having a newspaper on hand would be handy for cover. Overall a good idea but meant for Stage magicians. It could have a real shock factor to it for sure.

I have to say that this trick is good, but not for street enviroment. The gimmick can be made for around $, so it is somewhat a waste. All in all, I advise buying a differant trick such as quarter bite or loops.
