This has to be one of the greatest effects I've ever purchased from Penguin. With about 10 minutes
of practice, Ive performed to 5 people and none of them had a CLUE how this was done. I gave it four
stars only because your not entirely clean at the end but its extremely easy drop what you don't
want the spectator to see. Im telling you, you'l LOVE this effect. I cannot stop performing this. Be
carefull you don't stab yourself when you stab the coin. It hurts a little. Anyway I think everyone
whos a magician should add this to their act. This is now my favorite trick to perform. Its so
easy!!! Whip out a papermate pen...borrow a quarter (no switches), use gimmick...badda bing! ADD TO
CART!!!!

Pros: Beautiful show of only one quarter in your hand...takes out any possibility that you may be
using anything else. Phenominal start.
Great DVD with performance, explanation that is easy to follow and you get two handelings. Best part is the PEN AND QUARTER FULLY EXAMINABLE at end of performance. Suggestions. If you do a cigarette through quarter routine.....do that before you do "Puncture". Then go on to some other tricks. Once you go into an ambitious card routine...or a routine in which a card is signed or prediction is written down. Then pull out the pen....use it. It would make perfect sence WHY you would be pulling a pen out at this point, no suspicion. With out telling them to look at the pen....let them subconciously absorb the fact that it really is a regular pen and they can actually use it if you want them to. Then in the middle of what seems to be an introduction to a signed card routine.....ask for a quarter. Make it seem very spontanious that you want to show them something with the quarter. Throw them off track.....then blow them away......especially after you hand it out for them to see and feel. The only cons I can think of is that your hands are not "clean" at the climax of the illusion and expect to practice quite a bit with this before you can perform it. As with anything good...practice makes perfection and you will need plenty of it. Watch your angles as with most illusions...although it is only for breif moments. I would not really recommend this for first timers.....but if you do close up magic, it is a must have. Also....if you wear rings as with most routines that involve handeling coins...watch out for "clanks"....just take your rings off....tell them that you want to be honest and tkae off your rings so no one thinks your hiding anything there. (Really some people think objects go into and come out of my ring)..LOL. Did this review help you?
