Royal Assembly by Joshua Jay (Instant Download) This is Joshua Jay's workhorse card routine.
In stock: usually ships within 24 hours!
When the topic of gambling or cheating arises, Joshua performs this impossible Ace Assembly. For a surprise finish, he manages to locate a Royal Flush! There are virtually no sleights in the routine, and the presentation and handling make it ideal for close-up performance. Manufacturer SaysPlease note: Royal Assembly is great on its own, but it's also part of a set of six Instant Downloads from Joshua Jay called "A Different Side of Me", which is available for $ 29.95 (a savings of over $ 30). this is a nice routine, which i got as part of the a differant side of me package. It is porbably my
favorite other than cornered..which i previously had downloaded. As a seperate download, not sure
its worth the money tho.

I can see why some people might like this, but it's just not for me. I'm just not a fan of effects
that are just a quick succession of false counts and double lifts. I just don't see the "magic"
there. Yes, I see the card handling skill that's involved, but my goal in performing is to give
people an experience in which they've seen something happen which can't be readily explained. I'm
not looking to impress someone with how well I can handle a packet of cards and do false displays.

This effect is the second trick in my workhorse routine. I use it all night during walk around and
laymen love it as they can relate to it, playing poker or cards, and are always amazed whenever I
perform it. Joshua Jay does a great job teaching the effect as well as TWO great utility sleights
that I would say are worth the cost of the download alone.

Royal Assembly is a great effect. Very little set-up and extremely easy to perform.

I bought this with Jay's "Different Side of Me", and I have to say this is probably the best one in
those 6 besides maybe cornered. I practiced it for about a week then started preformed it, and it
got great reactions from my friends and family. It's a great impromptu trick, and I'm a beginner and
The slights really are not that hard so don't worry. I recommend this to anyone!

No doubt this is an outstanding effect, but don't think that because you can do an Elmsley Count you
have it aced. It requires a move that I hadn't seen before, and that my poor old fingers just refuse
to duplicate.
So, if you are one of those people who watch a video once, and instantly perform the magic--then this is a winner. But, if you are like me and have to watch over and over, and practice repeatedly, then think twice. I still can't do the special move AT ALL, much less practice it so that it stays hidden. So, five stars for the effect, subtracting one star because Joshua assumes that the rest of us have his card handling skills. He should not have passed over this move so quickly. The trick itself is good, but it does involve some basic card sleights. Don't buy if you are a
beginner, but BUY IF YOU KNOW THE BASICS OF CARD MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!! ADD TO CART!!

The effect is great, the only thing I feel is that the teaching was rather brief. Also, I don't know
anyone who plays poker with four cards, but it doesn't seem to matter.
