Interesting concept but not very practical waaaaaaay too much of a set up for something you can accomplish with a simple force it involves memorizing several cards and you have to do a lot and I mean a lot of setting up and the chances of it working are 50/50 that's all I can say with out revealing it but its just not my cup of tea I had high hopes for this after watching the trailer but it pretty much crashed and burned the only reason I have it 2 stars instead of one is because watching this download gave me a new Idea for a force but the actual effect I wouldn't go out and performs he claims you can "use a borrowed deck" true BUT what he dosent tell you is that you have to take that deck go to the restroom and go set it up definitely not impromptu.

I admit I LOVED this effect... right until I bought it, then realized how insanely complicated the setup was. And then there's the whole "I hope the spectator does what I want" thing.

Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love Jermay, and have gladly forked over mucho dollars for his other stuff. He rocks! It's just that there's a lot riding on this trick for it to turn out well for the performer.

Although the demo video fooled me, once I learnt this trick, I know I am not going to perform it. I don't mind a non-sure-fire effect, but this trick requires a quite complicated set up, which does not it, especially when you fail to predict the card correctly in the effect. There're lots of other card prediction routines that look better than this one and are more practical than this one. To conclude, I don't recommended this trick.

In order to do this with *any deck* you must learn a slight which is not included on the download. Luke discusses this in the download, and references the other download. Trouble is, it's not available yet as of this writing (8 Dec 2007).

Nothing wrong with the trick itself...I'd have given it 5 stars on its own merit. I docked 2 stars for misleading advertising. Just be apprised that if you want to do it with a borrowed deck, you may wind up spending the same amount again for an additional download.

That said, I have no problem with that...I would have bought both videos, knowing up front that this was the case...I just feel the advertising should be up front about this with omething like, "As an added bonus, you can do this with a borrowed deck if you use a slight not taught here, but found in the download________" with a clicky link), ...oh yeah, ... and that both videos were made avalable at the same time.

One last ting...Luke seemed unsure in the video whether this was a DVD or a download...my guess is that wasn't determined when this was filming. Not his fault, but perhaps there's some insight as to why the trick as advertised is truly spread over two downloads.

This trick is great. As others have said it's not sure to work 100% of the time but I've performed it on quite a few people and it has always worked. A great mentalism effect - cheers Luke!

this is a great trick if you are into mentalism and gets great reactions and the good part is once you set if your predictions you can preform for ages. only 1 downside i can think of is it may not work 100% of the time if you think about if maybe if you get a really hard spectator but like jermay gives you ways to deal with that. overall defintly worth getting

The method of this trick is great and really fun to perform but there are some drawbacks.
1.This trick is a great effect to perform for family and friends but if you were to perform this for strangers, hecklers would easily sabotage you.
2.the setup is to hard to do under the watch of spectators and is really hard to get right without people believing you are setting up the cards. I find it best to have the cards set up from the start and using this effect as an opener.
This trick is bold but if you pull it off your audience will go nuts. To really know if you like it you have to buy it, it only costs 10 bucks,so why not.

I like how he gets to the force card, but there is a bit of chance that it can (and sometimes will) go wrong. There is a lot of audience management that goes on here.

Either you love it or hate it. This is one that I won't be adding to my act, but have played around with it to other magicians when hanging out. This is a great trick for magicians, but boring for lay people.
