It takes just a LITTLE practice with the gimmick, but what good trick doesn't require just a touch of practice. Quick, clean and easy to do. One of the best things I've purchased.

It switches out flat objects quite well and the entire unit doesn't take much pocket space. I like that this device is portable and unassuming.

Besides being a switching device, it can be used to make things appear or disappear. I appreciate this type of flexibility.

There is a slight audible click/snap during the switch but it is easily covered (e.g., snapping the lid, flicking it, etc).

The reset is easy, but needs to be done in private. I've done the reset in front of laymen, but only during an offbeat, and not immediately after the routine.

I find it best use the case as an incidental holder as opposed to: "look what this device can do".

I haven't had anyone try to pry it open - they just look inside and shake it; nothing ever falls out.

I like it because its a carry around trick that is easy to fool people. I think its a bit expensive but I ordered another one so that I could do a follow up with it. I wish Penguin Magic would send me two for the price of one and they could keep the instuctional dvd. Listening guys!

Like all great magic tricks, Strip is a gimmick that can be used for a multitude of tricks and feats of astonishment. The DVD is easy to follow and is well made. The gimmick is well made and will last for years. I recommend this product to any close up artist who wants a versatile gimmick that takes up little pocket space.

I just got this product and think it is one of the best of its kind ever created. Within 30 minutes I was performing it for friends with ease. It has so many practical uses as well as being an everyday object which is how I always prefer my magic. The concept is an old standard in magic, but this new reinvention of its use makes it unrecognizable to even the most seasoned magicians. The only reason I give it a "4" and not a "5" is that I wish it came with more than one as to be able to be setup for multiple performance right in a row. Not a big deal since setup is quick and simple, but it will not be surprising if magicians use it for the same trick over and over again in the same night and a different trick on a different evening because of the little setup that is required. Overall, I love it and would recommend it to professionals as well as amateurs. Enjoy!

Alright, so a lot of the time when I make a big order that consists of many different things, I will get my package, open it, and sort through everything into little piles from easiest/quickest to learn to advanced/time consuming.. Then, I will learn the stuff in the quick and easy pile, and the other stuff will sit around until a) I'm in desperate need of some new material or b) I have a lot of time on my hands that day. When I opened "Strip" I saw the device, breath strips and I thought "complicated".. So it's been sitting for awhile. Well tonight I had a lot of time on my hands so I decided to watch the DVD.. Now I'm kicking myself for having not learned this FIRST! The device is SO easy to learn and master, and the sky is the limit. So much can be achieved with this device, and the effects are so visual, that anyone would believe this to be REAL MAGIC! So if you haven't picked this up yet, or you're like me and its collecting dust.. GET ON IT!! This is one of the best devices ever created. It's absolutely genius. You won't be disappointed.

I can't stop playing with this! The design is really brilliant the only reason I gave it 4 stars was due to its small size, no disrespect to the designer and team because it is one of he most ingenious switching devices I have seen! I just need to find a very practical use for this, again thanks for sharing this with us.

I think this is a brilliant switching device but be warned that it requires a bit of practice to really get the switch to activate every time, reset does take some time but not too bad and expect to do a Lot of resetting when you get this as I set mine off 75+ times last night, I still don't have this down 100% but I am sure that I will if I practice enough. I didn't give this 5 stars because it is very limited on what can be loaded (only very small and flat objects.) overall I like this and do not feel mislead at all, what you see is what you get and the best thing is the fact that this can be examined.

If you are looking for a great pocked trick that you carry with you at all times this is it! The DVD is PACKED with info on how to use this trick in many different ways. I was really impressed with all the info on the DVD and the quality of the gimmick. I use this trick all the time and get a great reaction. I highly recommend this trick!

I've fallen in, out, and in love again with this item. I adored it when I received it. It's very visual and ultimately very reliable. It got good reactions, and ease of use was definitely a plus. However, eventually I started to cool in my interest due to the outright impossible nature of the effects. I ran into a couple of situations where I didn't keep control of my spectators properly, and they ended up with the gimmick in their hands. I don't claim to have actual magical power or anything, but I certainly don't wish to have someone deconstruct the gimmick right in front of me.

After awhile I went back to it, and came up with a couple of routines of my own, and I've been in love with it ever since. I've combined it with an equivoque cardless card trick type approach, and it absolutely kills.

I have used this gimmick an inordinate number of times in the last 18 months, and it is still working very well, proving that it's durable.

I would very much recommend you pick up this item, and while I do like the included routines, I believe you'll enjoy much better reactions if you use it in more of a mental magic (not necessarily strict mentalism) type vane. I would have given it 5 stars, but I believe the price is a bit high for the gimmick, but I certainly appreciate the creator sharing their intellectual property with us.
