New Routines
Psypher is extremely easy to use but throw in some basic card technique and routining from B. Smith and your levels of deception and impact just went up a few notches. Of course if you want to sit back and let the gimmick do all the work go right ahead, that’s what it’s here for! Here are some of the routines taught on the DVD:
E-Z - This effect is one of the most pure mentalism effects conceivable with a deck of cards. Your spectator is asked to think of ANY card in the deck, write it down on a piece of paper, and put that piece of paper in their pocket. All of which is done while your back is turned; you can even be in another room! When you return, you remove the cards from the box and place one face down card on the table. Ask the spectator to name the card they are merely thinking of... the spectator turns the card over and it is the thought of card!! Card magic doesn’t get any more powerful!
Time zone- Imagine a spectator thinks of a time, a second spectator removes 3 cards from the deck, when the thought of time is named the second spectator reveals her cards... you guessed it, the value of the cards match the thought of time!
Name and Card Routine - This is B. Smiths killer card routine with multiple, impossible climaxes! Imagine not only being able to know the card someone is thinking of, but also know when they THINK 'stop' while dealing through the deck. Not only do you tell them when they thought stop, you now tell them what card they are thinking of. Not only do you tell them what card they are thinking of, you have them turn over the card they mentally stopped at and it is the thought of card! While the physical contents themselves are GREAT, the video advertises "better gimmicks, more
gimmicks". There may be more gimmick material than what was provided for the first release, but
it's still not very much material at all, so I would be prepared to buy more later.
The ad video
shows how strong the effect is for writing on a notepad, which sold me immediately, but the DVD only
spends 2% of the time talking about this and it doesn't provide any routines. If you're creative
and know your way around mentalism effects already, this shouldn't be a problem. If you plan on
using it with a deck of cards, it's a good buy since the DVD spends 80% discussing card routines.
The wallet/business card effects on the DVD, however, are weak and very poorly performed in my
opinion.

This trick is great. I totally recommend it for a mentalist or a card magician. Most the tricks that
they teach use cards. I love it and it is sooo clever and amazing. Any magician that wants to step
up there magic up a level needs to get it. The only reason it is 4 stars is because you don't get a
lot of the gimmick for what you pay. You don't need refills it is just what ways you want to use the
gimmick. You can buy more gimmick but it is expensive. Don't let this turn you away from getting it.

This is a must have for any magician. I love mentalism and this trick blew my mind. After watching
the DVD once through, I was able to perform this flawlessly. You get enough material to do more
than one routine as well. Robert Smith is great at explaining how everything works, he even gets
into a little psychology. The possibilities in Psypher are endless.

I bought this product and was a little skeptical that I would be able to pull it off because I don't
have much experience with mentalism. The Gimmick that comes with the set is awesome and works very
well! I was literally able to find my spectators chosen card after they had written it on paper,
folded it up, and put it in their pocket within 10 minutes of watching the DVD. Although with more
practice I'll be able to pull off the other awesome routines on the DVD with ease (the DVD is 90
minutes!)

Why haven't you bought this yet. It's the ONE!
WHY ONLY 4 STARS? This is NOT a full on
mentalism toolkit in a box. It's a Samurai Sword, but Robert only shows you how to slice bread with
it. I think Robert knows this, But he may have been holding back on the DVD...
You will
have to think for yourself, and put in the work to create the illusion of mind reading with this
one.
STILL 4 stars. The quality of the product will delight you, and technology behind
the secret is beautiful.
For $40, Easy choice. GET IT!

This is by far my favorite purchase from penguin. It is a gimmick I will really use in
performances. The spectator has no idea how you can possible know what they are thinking of.
Good tutorial, but should have explained notepad implementation a bit more.
I
believe they should have supplied at least 2 impression devices as you will be cutting them up for
different uses.

Much stronger that the first and alot more disguised in the notebook set up. i have had UI since it

There are several different ways that Psypher can be used in any type of magic (street, stage,
etc..). I will use it as the starter to my "card tricks". This was very easy to learn and the set
up is quick. My wife and kids, who get to see a lot of magic, really liked Psypher.

I received this a while ago and was amazed by how well it works. The impression is very clear and it
goes through several pages as promised. I've tried it in a pad as well as the card box method and I
must admit Psypher works better with card box.
From the spectator's point of view, there
is simply no way that you could know what they were thinking. I finally got a chance to perform it
to a stranger the other day and even though it was the simplest trick on the DVD she was blown
away.
Unlike many other impression devices, you're not just limited to pad. You can set
the device up anywhere you can think of.
It's an excellent product considering the price
of the product. I highly recommmend this product to anyone out there.
