This is what dreams are made of. For a beginner magician this is the place to start. The teaching and tricks are just so good. Buy this before you buy anything else. This is the best of the best Greatest! Criss Angel is King. I infinite recommend this.

I got the plantium edition and it was great so the ultimate version will be amazing you get more bang for your buck and why would you not want this. I would get this for the cups and balls alone the cups are great but the balls could be better.But get this you won't be disappointed.

You get so much for so cheap. for sure for beginners to advanced. DVDs r good too cause they go through everything clearly and make u understand. plus not only do u get a lot of gimmicks they also teach u a lot of techniques like palming a card good to the french drop and much more.
yes a lot of the stuff is more for beginners but those small tricks like "pen through glass" show u the same techniques he used to do his walk through window. all these smaller acts once u learned them allows u to go big with the same techniques. over all even if ur a pro ull find a few good things in here u still might not know and some fun gimmicks.

This kit is not so bad. All the previous reviewers on here seem to be reviewing Criss's Platinum kit (the smaller kit available in stores), not this kit. This kit, the Ultimate Kit, includes Criss's Master Mindfreaks DVD's 1 & 5 which alone cost more than this kit and got good reviews on this website. The 3 DVD's here and the fat book of hundreds of tricks are worth the money you spend on this even if the props were junk. But the props are not so bad either. Maybe not professional quality, but decent for the price and better than you typically find in a magic kit of this type. They're good enough for a beginner to practice with. The cards have Criss's name all over them and no, they're not as good as Bicycle cards but they're better than say Maverick cards or other common drugstore cards. And there are many tricks in here to interest adult beginners, too. It's not just all kid stuff.

Same Old Magic In A New Box Report this review

I thought Criss Angel would come up with new tricks for this kit but not so. This is the same old magic that has been around for over 40 years in magic sets. I bought it out of curiosity but discovered that most likely Criss Angel had nothing to with creating this set, as he does not show you instructions on the DVD on how to perform them. There is no talking on the instructions (DVD), only music and no Criss Angel. A beginner set, but may be difficult for kids to learn from the DVD. It is however a good introduction to Magic, as always, for these tricks.

Okay, much as I loathe helping Chris Angel make any more money (I have my reasons), I must admit that I recently found myself in need of some effects for a show, and the kit came in useful. Yes, the cups and balls are plastic, but still sell in a platform setting. The IT was needed, and though small the sponge balls came in handy. Also, that cheesy nest of coins trick went over well (once I colored out the big A on it), and the small effects worked as giveaways at my show.

Anyway, it was worth the money, but only because I bought it at Walmart for $___. Other than that, it's one of the more useful kits I've seen for the working professional on a budget.
