I'm very disappointed in this set. Two VERY short DVD's with the listed effects, which could have
been contained on one disk. The illusion is presented, followed by an explanation. No audio except
for an annoying music loop. The explanation is presented via closed captioning. One quick run
through, then off to the next trick. Most of the illusions are very simple to figure out, many are
effective only one on one (not angle proof), quite a few require a clean up, and some require a
gimmick. To view the "bonus" effects you have to log on to the producers website and enter in a
code given in the DVD. The most impressive illusion presented in the previews is not even on the
DVD, it's in the advertising for other effects at the end of the disk.
I'm extremely unhappy with this purchase. Maybe one or two effects at the most I would consider performing. Certainly not worth $59.95. Did this review help you?

This is my first review at Penguin and although I'm more than happy with my previous purchases, this
one was definitely NOT worth the price!! Most of the "better" effects that are shown in the video
are NOT included in the DVDs.
Overall I'm glad my $60 went for a charitable cause, and believe me, that's the only good thing that came from these DVDs. Please take my advice and use your money on something different. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!! Did this review help you?

Don't buy it...come on G. you can't charge that much money for these unpractical tricks! One of his
tricks in these DVDs is how to pop a balloon to get a coin out of it!!! but he didn't teach how to
put this coin in the balloon,Can you believe this? Also, it says impromptu but it is not. You will
need a magnetic ring and magnetic coins for several tricks...DON'T BUY IT....

I would like to thank Penguin Magic for actually listening to some of the gripes that myself and
some of the other magicians had about this dvd and making it worth buying again. Still a little
overpriced, but its for charity. Penguin Magic included the bonus effects in an easy to access way
because G.'s website is a little tricky and yes Kiss is one of the effects. Also, as sort of a way
to make things right included a deal for V2F the effect in the trailer that you wont get unless you
buy a whole different dvd. The fact that Penguin Magic made the effort to make things right with
its magicians really made ME like this site a whole lot more, I am 100% satisfied with Penguin Magic
and will continue to do buisness with them. Thanks again!

I personally think this DVD is actually quite useful, the effects are very direct so it leaves room
for lots of presentation. Some effects requires difficult sleight of hand, so if you are a beginner,
you will take some good time to practice until you can perfrom them.
I also like the "kiss" bonus effect!! It is really good! I tried on my sister and it works well, and she has seen lots of magic tricks already. For the missing effects that some of you guys are talking about, if you watch through the whole DVD, you'll see that a link is provided after watching the last trick, so you can watch the 5 bonus on their websites. Like one of the previous reviewers I see no deck!
The DVDs were somewhat disapointing from the hype in the adds I was expecting much more. There is some useable stuff but with minimal angles and no speach it leaves a lot to be desired. The explanations are thin and the overall presentation is quite poor compared to many of the other products Penquin has on offer. Nothing revoloutionly here. Did this review help you?

Very disappointed in this purchase. I normally don't spend this much on tricks and have been
extremely satisfied with most of my purchases from Penguin. This DVD was boring and I thought the
tricks were mediocre at best. Plus many required the use of angles, long sleeves or jackets, and
other props I don't use. Not having dialogue to instruct you was frustrating as well.
There are so many great tricks available to spend your money on. I would pass this up. Did this review help you?

the good: dvd's were good. if you like david stone's teaching style then you'll like these. like
david stones there's some material you'll be doing minutes after watching and some you'll have to
practice or simply will not use.
if you're looking for some stuff you can use that's mostly impromptu then this is great. people are gonna ask you to do something when you least expect it and if you dont have your "stuff"...people assume that what you've done in the past you can always do. the bad: some or actually most of this stuff are simple enhancers to effect youre already doing. beginners; theres stuff on here youll be doing as a single trick. the music gets annoying. the dvds are like 2 hrs long and its the same track playing. the guy doesnt talk. strange. oh and p.s. i couldnt figure out if this guy was a girl or guy until i bought the dvds. creepy. Well, what can I say?
The magic is just what the ads say it is, impromptu! At times, some of the tricks/routines look like tricks out of a book youd check out at the local library! That is not necessarily a bad thing mind you! They are simple; some extremely simple, visual and relatively easy to perform. Most of the sleights, I would say, are of an intermediate skill level caliber but a beginner should be able to pick them up fairly easily. I dont want to spend days learning and practicing tricks before I can put them to use and these tricks will generally only take you a short time to learn and perfect. Im a whatever is available and handy, impromptu, visual impact magician, so this DVD is right up my alley. Thanks G, I salute your creativity! 1 to 3 of the tricks listed in the ads, are not on the DVD. You have to go to their website to access them-no big deal though! The explanations are visual, no talking-I suspect that is so the DVD can be viewed anywhere in the world without language constraints. All in all, I would say, Im pretty happy with this purchase. I can put these tricks to use right away. If I had to buy these DVDs again, would I? Absolutely! Thanks G and Penguin! Signed, Your #1 Customer! Did this review help you?

I just received my double DVD package today, minus the special playing cards which must be on back
order. Ive always tried to be objective and fair in my reviews and feedback and I will not waver
here. While G is an incredible performer and brings a fresh new approach to the world of magic, I
must say that I was somewhat disappointed with the DVDs.
If you are a magician who can master the most demanding sleight of hand techniques, you may find these routines useful and exciting. However, if you are a novice or a beginner in magic, you may want to think twice about making this investment. Much of what you will see will not be something that you will be able to do in short order as it will require a lot of dedicated practice. Many of the coin routines use sleights that I have practiced working on for years but have not fully mastered, perhaps because my hands are not anatomically designed as others. Some routines require unusual objects like non-US coins, ear rings, special beads, while other routines appear to be sensitive to spectator angles. While the theme is primarily impromptu magic, I would have preferred to see a bit more human interaction versus pure slight of hand showmanship. I personally dont see me incorporating many of these routines into any of my performances. Since a portion of the money spent is going to a charitable cause and because G is a young aspiring performer whom I want to see succeed with a bright future, I will raise my rating from a 4 to a 5. While this is primarily impromptu magic, I would have preferred to see a bit more human interaction versus pure slight of hand showmanship. Did this review help you?
