do not listen to the other reviewers! they were just expecting a gimmick that would be out of this world and they did not spend enough time at this! the gimmicks work perfectly, and you just have to do some trial and error to figure out how to work it! i have posted a comprehensive forum in the private section so if you purchase this trick, and you read the forum, you will look like a true pro in no time! the set up gets easier as well, it gets faster and will take as little as 2 mins after a few goes!

This is a tough trick to write a review on. I first bought one of these sets from a different online magic store and neither nail worked. One of them sort of worked so I got a refund. For I expect them to both work. I liked the demo video so I bought a set from Penguin Magic not knowing if they would work but they both work FANTASTIC. I showed this trick to several other magicians at a magic club I'm in and everyone just said, "WOW." You could get a bad set of nails or a good set of nails. I read reviews that were good and bad on other magic forums. I got a good set from Penguin so I'm going to give it a 5 Star because they came through for me. I love this trick and the way it works.

This is an excellent trick. The one thing I have found is to pay particular attention to going slow when setting up, a little bend at a time. It is possible to get the nails out of whack a little. Even with a slight bend though, the trick still comes off surprising and clean. The bend is not instantaneous, so a good working patter is of great benefit.It is a good idea to impress your bending it with your mind, not great strength. I have had people really try to tourque it. I just tactfully change the subject and get the nail back before they do bend it. It always gets great reactions. Awesome trick.

There is too much set up and the bigger problem is that it can't be reset discretely so you almost have to leave, reset and then come back. Also straightening the bent nail (to a point where it looks good) is extremely difficult. It's not a bad overall trick, but just not for me

I regret to review this piece of magic with a negative review, but the simple fact is that this piece of magic is a waste of money. There are two magor flaws the lessor of which is that the nail cannot be straightend after performance to it original restored state.

But the single worst feature of this trick is that it is not really practical to reset it in the real world of performance magic. The setup to prepare to present the trick take more than an hour and must be done at home. Not wishing to reveal the secret I can only say that this effectg is completely impractical for use in any real world magic performance.

It is not a stage trick. It is a closeup bit of magic. But it can not be used by a table hopper, or strolling magician, nor can it be used by a street performer. The trick can be performed just once and then requires a trip home and at least an hour to reset.

The only possible use might be for a television appearance, but other than that, forget it.

The video cannot reveal the flaws because it cannot include the reset. But such a trick which requires an hour to reset and a trip home or to a place with kitchen appliances makes the whole thing impractical and impossible to include in any repatroire. And over priced.

This is amazing technology! It far exceeded my expectations. It is really some sort of special metal. You have to get it just to see it! Yes, you can't just pick it up from the ground, because it must be kept in your pocket in it's special pouch, but all you have to do is pick up a similar looking nail from the ground and do a groaner nail dissapearing into the pocket (Do your worst false transfer and drop the nail in your pocket). Then, take out the special nail from it's pouch in your pocket and the trick is really just amazing! The nail will simply bend right in your hand, all by itself! You can repeat the trick once, as you are provided with two nails, one that starts straight and one that starts bent, but then you will need to reset. Highly recommended!

THE GIMMICK IS FANTASTICK,REALLY WELL DONE
THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS TRICK IS WHY PUT IN THE ACT A NAIL ? BUT IF YOU FIND THIS NAIL IN THE STREET OR YOU HAVE A MENTALIM ACT IN WICH YOU INVOLVE KEYS FORKS SPOON YOU CAN EASILY PUT THE NAIL INSIDE.
I THINKYOU CAN COMBINE WITH THE GREAT MICRO PSYCHIC FOR A ROUTINE WITH "CARPENTIER" TOOLS...

It's a really great product! The effects you could do are super but you are limited by the intrinsic charatistics of the gimmick itself!

Anyway, it'a great gimmick to buy!

First thought of it,mmmm another ordinary trick involving loads of switches and misdirection.

To my surprise totally self working great impromptu can be preformed anywhere and at any angle... just awesome,this is the one trick that is going to put you up there.

i want to give it 5 stars but the setup put it down to 4 stars,but 4 stars is still damn amazing for this little trick,if there is a pk affect that needs to be in your arsenal then this is the one!!

The reason I am writing on this trick is because I had it in one of my draws where I keep my magic tricks. I do not who I brought it from but I read the instructions (no dvd) and I have to work on it for a while but it does work once you get the hang of it. I must say that you have have just a little
patience but it does work and come Monday I am going to try it on my co-workers. I must admit its a little expensive. Like I
said, I do not know who or when I brought it from but it's
a good carry around trick. The setup is the only thing you
have to work on.
