The preview is a little misleading; you have to hold the business card in your hand then hand it
back to the person, before you can Read their minds, (words can be a little tricky to get). The
DVD does go into how to make the gimmick in different colors.
The trick is easy; it takes a few minutes to Master. One problem is you cant reset instantly (I cant said too much more or Ill give too much information on how the trick is done. Did this review help you?

This is a great effect . the method is genius . you are only going to need to touch the business
card for 3-6 seconds and the spectator are NOT going to notice it because you are going to 'cover'
it with a natural patter . it's sad though cause people are reviewing the demo instead of the effect
itself which is all it's about .

i love sync. its a very very neat little secret. there are many really powerful tricks on this dvd.
by no means is holding a business card and telling someone what theyre thinking the least that you
can do with this. seriously i love this effect and the dvd is incredibly well edited, and produced.
think...impression device, with no impression device. all u need is a sharpie.

You can only "predict"simple shapes so I wouldn't recommend this for a mentalist effect at all and
for thirty dollars too I don't think so you would be better off getting any other mental effect

I have been into magic for years, mostly finger flinging card magic. In the past year or so I have
gone more towards mental magic and mentalism, trying to reduce the sleight of hand and increase the
showmanship. Ive successfully used center tears, billet switches, peeks, and imp devices, but
nothing is as simple and "organic" as SYNC. For new magicians, it will really help you to work on
your presentation because you wont be worried about doing "work" to get the written thought!

This is a reasonably good system for drawing duplication but I would go with another method for
words. The card 100% does need to be handled briefly AFTER the spectator writes on it and this
absolutely does NOT work on all types of business cards (it does work on many however) SYNC provides
us with yet another solid method for acquiring information. In the end it really depends on your
routine and exactly what you need or want to accomplish. Beware you may not receive a black sharpie
you may get a blue or red. The DVD does explain how to construct the marker in different colors
however.

This is a great effect. I believe this has been re-issued with Justin Miller's ideas and
presentation. He shows a variety of ways to use this effect, not only a business card. there is an
awesome effect using pennies. It is really strong. He also re-worked the method with the business
card that is very strong. This is something you will want to have handy. It can be done totally
impromptu with no reset required. Highly recommended.

So sincerely sorry to say Sync sucks! Every one I've tried this on knew IMMEDIATELY what was going
on. Mind you, I'm no novice in the magical arts.The handling for this effect totally lacks
motivation. Making matters worse, I received a defective dvd...twice.Kudos to Penguin for their
attempt to remedy the problem.As usual Penguin went beyond and above to fix a situation that should
have been attended to by Paper Crane's quality control department. Furthermore Jose Prager ain't
even on the dvd!!(can't blame him though.)I also was told that Justin Millers presentation of Duplo
is not the same as Jose Pragers.The latter being far superior.Listen Penguins, go ahead, toss your
money out the window,but don't buy this. No way Jose!!! I was trying my ever lovn' best not to give
this any stars, but Penguin won't let me.

SYNC is an interesting alternative to impression pads, peek wallets, etc., as it doesn't use any!
Just a business card and a Sharpie. The method may be a bit ballsy, but that's why it will fly by a
spectator and it can be done surrounded with good routining. This is certainly not for a beginner,
not because it isn't easy to do, but because it requires smart, motivated actions and savvy
routining. If you can do that, then buy SYNC and watch the reactions!
