For the most part I have had great success with products Dan Harlan supports. This one is different.
The gimmick is unusual which is true. The only problem I have are the bottles I'm exposed to in
Canada. I tried three of the most common brands and neither one worked. So my main problem is the
fact that no one covers the best bottles to use for this in the DVD.
I feel as though I got
ripped off because of this. It's a great effect if you can find the right bottle, and the video
makes this thing look amazing. It all comes down to what you're exposed to in the end.

I really like the effect that's presented, but I love/hate this gimmick. There are two specific
things I don't like about the gimmick, but I can't tell you what they are without giving away the
method. Needless to say, you will want to get a variety of bottles to practice at home -- find the
brands that work best, and avoid the others when you are in public.
That said, I'll tell
you that I don't even bother with the original effect anyway. I *far* prefer the alternate effect
and handling presented by Dan Harlan, which does not require you to even care about those bothersome
things I can't really mention. Because, with Dan's variation, they are a non-issue. In fact, Dan's
effect is far stronger, in my mind, looks fantastic, and makes the gimmick *totally* worthwhile.
So buy this. Definitely buy it. And if you discover those annoying imperfections, you can
ignore them. Don't whine about them in the forums (everyone else already has). Just do Harlan's
effect, and you'll be a happy camper, and glad you bought this product.

Very cool effect gets a lot of laughs and great reactions highly visual and super super suuuuuuper
easy handling this is something to do at a party a club or a bar or maybe just a small get together
either way it will drop jaws very cool very clean the gimmick was a little banged up when I got it
(scratches) but still works my favorite part of the DVD (45 min long) was dan Harlan's handling its
great my favorite one happens to be the one where you push the mouth of the bottle through a specs
shirt by the way everything can be borrowed including the bottle of course there are a few
restrictions as to what bottles you can use but as long as you stick to common drinks you should be
fine (Bud Light, Samuel Adams, Root Beer') the only reason I gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5 is
because I feel like $34 was a little steep for what you get I would have felt better paying $24 but
that's just me overall awesome effect super easy and practical not really any angle issues great

Devious is very sneaky and perfect for small get together, bars, and party's.
This thing is great!!! I'm ordering another one to further gimmick it up!!! Heck I may as well order
The instruction video is jam packed with excellent ideas for performing
otherwise impossible effects using borrowed beer bottles, bills/cards or t-shirt!!!
do bar magic or just go to the bar, get this!! Good for the newbie magician!! Perfect for the
seasoned one as well!
Okay and some times cool to have if you have the
right size bottle for the gimmic.
I'm definitely loading this when i go to the bar or parties from now on. The gimmick is truly
deceiving. Used casually you can't even tell that you've added something to the bottle, nobody will
notice but you. It's very easy to load in and cleanup. The bottle and bill (or other object) can be
immediately handed out for inspection when the trick is completed. It's got great opportunities for
spectator interaction as well. The instructional DVD gives you lots of ideas and ways to load in and
steal out the gimmick in a natural way.
Now for the cons... They freely admit this in the
video and give you a hack that is supposed to help somewhat. The gimmick will not fit all bottles.
Bottles vary from manufacturer to manufacturer so it's impossible to make a universal gimmick. It's
supposed to fit most common beer bottles, i haven't experimented much yet. I'm practicing with a
Shiner Bock bottle and it's way too big for the gimmick. You'll want to test a variety of bottles to
find the ones that work best and buy those at the bar if you want to do the trick.
recommend this one, it's got broad appeal, could be a good opener to a closeup routine. It's
something you can chuck in your pocket and have ready at a moment's notice. It plays pretty
intimately with no problem. You can do it right under the spectator's nose and they won't notice
anything. As seen in the trailer you can even have the bottle penetrate the spectator's shirt. It's
incredibly easy to perform as well, there's no setup or gimmick construction on your part, it comes
ready to go out of the box.
Decent trick but as a few other people have stated, you have to have the right bottle. Can be an
issue as a result so you can't do it everywhere or you have to find a bottle and carry it around
