Cause the writing on the back of a playing card to change VISUALLY. The commercial appeal of changing handwriting on a card (not just the card itself) is unusual and unexpected, and with Predichange it's now possible to learn it in minutes!

Clever, Clever Gimmick Report this review

Plusses: Easy to do, instant reset, extremely visual, really hard to figure out.
Minus: You can't do it super-super close in extreme sunlight. But who does that anyway?
This is a new trick. I have not seen a gimmick like this before. I had a guess as to how it was done and I was WAY off. This is one of those effects that let's you perform what appears to be a 'camera trick' in real life. The only frustrating part is that it's so good, I want to do it multiple times for people! (Which, of course, wouldn't make any sense, so you can't.)

The video doesn't really lie: what you see is what it looks like to the spectator. The change is fairly subtle and can be done in so many different ways (though your choices are limited to just those two cards). The gimmick appears fairly sturdy, and there is an extra card included you can hand out for examination after you switch it in for the gimmick.
This will require the right lighting though. I was so interested in this I opened it at my mailbox when I got it. Looking at it in broad daylight I was so disappointed and thought no one would ever fall for this. When I got it inside, however, I saw how it could work. A brightly lit room and a close spectator would be a challenge, but a normal restaurant environment with people a few steps away shouldn't be a problem. Add the fact that you can hand out a card for examination after you learn the switch and it will be enough of a convincer to satisfy the biggest skeptic in the group.

the gimmick is very clever, but i felt like mine was a bit weak, and needs more pressure to do the change, as well as it making a 'click' sound when it changes, which is quite annoying. overall its ok

Great on Camera Report this review

On camera this is a beauty, but up close it's tougher. You have to find the perfect medium between too close and too far. Once I was performing it and because of the lighting (even though it was from a distance, the spectator though he saw a staple in the card (there isn't one).

The gimmick in the video is flawless, which is nothing like what was shipped to me. Sure, it might go unnoticed in dim lighting and from a distance, but I paid for an identical gimmick to that in the video which convinces you how amazing and up-close this trick is. On a better note, I'd say it's a gem if you're performing in a restaurant setting or on stage.
Great trick. Not so good DVD. Report this review

I love the gimmick! It fools myself when I do it! While you can't do it when the spectator is right in front of you or in very bright light, it works well in most locations.
The DVD. Confusing. They explained the gimmick well, but the routine they provided was, in my opinion, lacking. I ended up coming up with my own that I think works a lot better. Great product overall!
Very Cool Change! Report this review

Wow! This is suck a cool gimmick! You can not do it too closeup which is why it loses a star, and the DVD is a little annoying to watch because it is shot in Spanish and Dubbed into English so it's kind of like watching an old Godzilla movie, but the effect is explained in detail and the actual change looks like a camera trick. The gimmick is well made and pretty sensitive to the point where just a flick of the wrist causes it to change. A very cool self working trick that will be a lot of fun. If you switch out the gimmick, you can hand it out so that's nice.
