The Zero Gravity Levitation by Mike Bent The Ultimate Close-up Levitation. Levitate 4-5 Inches off the ground with complete confidence every time.
Price: $19.95

Self-levitation has taken the magic world by storm. Ever since David Blaine levitated himself on national television, magicians the world around have discovered that their lives are not complete unless they can float!

Mike Bent has come up with Zero Gravity -- one of the most clever methods of self-levitation we have seen! It looks great!

Imagine walking into the center of a crowded room. Without any cover, totally away from any objects, your body completely levitates 4-5 inches off the ground. Your audience sees both feet completely leave the ground!!It looks as good as it sounds.

Zero Gravity is unlike any levitation on the market. You will receive a detailed manuscript explaining step-by-step how to build the special gimmick. The materials are available at your local hardware store for pennies.

What You Get

Complete step-by-step instructions.

No covers; No camera tricks, No careful audience positioning. It appears totally impromptu. And, the angles are great!

I'm sorry to say this, but I really regret this purchase. The gimmick you need to make, its extreamely uncomfortable and impractical and in the end not even very neccicery.

If you want to float cheaply then either purchase "One" (if you have the money) or Spiritwalker.

Disappointing Levitation Report this review
Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on September 14th, 2008
When I first heard about the Zero Gravity levitation, I thought it would be a great alternative to the Balducci Levitation I had just learned a few months before buying Zero Gravity. And after getting the manual in the mail, I was so disappointed with how you're supposed to create this Levitation routine with a pair of shoes I haven't purchased since I was 12 years old. Not worth the money, the time and the pair of shoes you have to destroy to make this gimmick.
If you're looking for a levitation effect, do NOT purchase this.

Fly Away (from this trick) Report this review

This trick is very bad. You do have to buy extra items.

Building the gimmick is quite harsh and annoying as well. I've tried building the gimmick TWICE. Both times were a disaster. The shoes are completely ruined and the trick doesn't even work that great. It's not very practical. It can be impromptu if you'd like to walk around in such shoes (but believe me, you won't want to walk around in them). Therefore, the impromptu ability is 50/50.

There are way better levitation effects out there. Skip this one. You really can do without this one. If you already have the other levitations and want to try this, I still recommend that what you already have is better than this. Fly away with your other levitations, but not this one.

Zero Gravity Deserves ZERO Stars Report this review

This is the worst product I have ever purchased from Penguin. Perhaps the worst product I have ever purchased. Don't bother byuing it, you would only be wasting your money. Everything they say about it is a lie. You can't do it surrounded, you will probably go 2-3 inches(not 4-5), and it lacks the start-clean/end-clean of the Balducci. By the way it's not impromptu either.

This levitation is awful! Not only is it hard to make the gimmick, but it's hard to perform too! You have to ruin a perfectly good pair of shoes for this effect. Also, the levitation doesn't rise as high up as it is describe to. You don't rise up 4-5 inches; more like 2-3! I gave Zero Gravity 2 stars because it still is more angle proof than other levitation, including the Balducci Levitation, which was used by David Blaine on his television special and was (ahem) "altered". If you wish to buy a good self-levitation, buy the Wild Levitation. The only thing wrong with the Wild Levitation is the use of a jacket, which you shouldn't mind.

Zero Gravity is great, but prepare to destroy your shoes.

Pros:

Easy to do
Great angles
Looks AWESOME
Cheap to build

Cons:
Not very practical
Actions can look a little weird
You kill a shoe
They can't look at the bottom of your shoes
Complicated

Zero gravity will give you some ideas on creating your own levitations. Add to cart.

This is a great effect for the price... I did a pretty shotty job putting mine together and it's still served me well. You can do this surrounded for sure - even if YOU yourself can't do it fully surrounded it is much more angle proof than any other self levitation I've heard of. I got a very cheap pair of shoes (seriously like 7 bucks) and some extra supplies that I doubt cost more than . You can build this thing up to be the serious REAL levitation. Gather the spectator's around in a circle have one hold their hand palm up and place your palm lightly on it and build up all the talk about energy and blah blah blah! It's one more way to try and stay ahead of your spectators. Having a variety with your levitations (or any effects or moves) keeps people from finding the true secret and makes it look like more than just moves and fast hands. Though honestly don't buy this, I like how few people really seem to have it!

This trick is not worth it. The gimmick is hard to make and very expensive. Also the angles are very precise so its not very impromptu... don't waste your money.

If you are looking for a good levitation, I would recommend sticking with the original Balducci levitation. Although the angles are a little bit better on this one, there is some set-up involved. It won't be impromptu unless you have the gimmick, and the reactions you get won't be any better than the ones you'll get with the Balducci.

This is the best looking and most angle free levetation, but the gimmic is slightly uncomfortable so you must setup in private. Not going to work for everyone, but definitely the best looking overall. Must make gimmic yourself, and in no way is this an impromtu trick.
