I got this trick with zero instructions and it's locked in RED. I asked the Help of a Penguin and got the run around. This is not a card trick. You must have the trick to actually DO It. So why couldn't he send me the instructions on how to do it? I told him what it includes in the packet. So now I have to schedule my time to go to a Local Magic Shop hoping they can figure it out. So very frustrating!

This is one item that should be in every close-up magician's repetoire. It can be carried with you everywhere and performed anywhere. The hot rod changes twice, right in front of the spectator's eyes. And the best part, it is completely examinable. Resets in literally seconds. You need to learn only one move! Add this to cart. You'll be performing it within minutes of receiving it!!!!!!!!

So I really enjoy paddle tricks. Always have. So I had to buy this one. Change to 2 colors! Cool!

Well.. I got it and my disappointments are:
It's different from what I'm used to being square...
And it makes a loud noise, that could be covered with patter... but I'd have to be talking loudly, or in a loud area.

Overall, its ok. Mine rattles a bit during the examination period.

I have the instructional video for this hot rod but I bought another one and they gave me the one for this one. It is the best hot rod out there. You can make it change twice, AND then you can let the person examine it. GREAT TRICK! ADD TO CART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the few hot rods that you can make the hot rod change colors twice! I love it becuase in the end it is 100% examinable and they can mess around with it forever and see that there selected color is on both sides! Its is a great effect! Very genious!

This trick is great. It always fools them when you hand it out and both sides are their selected color. The only thing wrong with this is the force it's kind of obvious if they pick something other than 3 or 4 and the reset takes a little while. But that won’t stop me from doing it in every close up show.

This is a really good trick, hits hard. It is nice and heavy, easy to handle. Only needs a small amout of sleight of hand. It says that it is completly examinable, which it is not. Still a great trick!

If you are looking for a hot rod and don't know which one to buy. I highly reccomend this one. Even if your starting off, it is the same method. The difference is this one in the end is examable and the only one I'm aware of that changes color. The bottom has a tendency to fall out when first purchased, but that is EASILY fixed for good.

I have had the brass hot rod for some time and it still is the greatest hot rod built! So many people have seen or own a hot rod or fan-ta-stick so they think they know what is happening then !BAM! It changes colors again! Wish I had bought mine at penguin it is so much cheaper here!

If you have that little old Hot Rod, then replace it with this! Differences: One, IT IS A LOT HEAVIER. Because it is made up of brass ( duhh ). Two, it can change into not one but 2 colors!! It's a little harder I do admit, but it's great for beginners going on advance! The only reason I give it a 4 is because mine is loose. But there's a solution in the PO section! So get it!!!!
