Show a brass nut, bolt and small padlock and allow them to be fully examined. A borrowed finger ring is placed on the bolt and secured there by the nut. A padlock is placed through a hole in the bolt, securing the ring on the assembly. The magician holds the bolt and his hands are covered with a cloth. On the count of three, he shows the ring has escaped from the nut and bolt and the padlock is still locked in place. This is a very strong close up effect that can be performed almost immediately.

WAY too SIMPLE! Report this review

This trick is too easy to figure out. It says it's examinable, but everyone I've let examine it even for 30 seconds has figured it out. The only way you can let them examine it is to grab it back pretty quick, also too much work undercover..... looks fishy with all the moves. Also this looks so gimmicky since I've never seen a bolt that looks like that.

I like this trick. It is a simple trick, the pieces are examinable. Let different people see different parts (bolt, nut, keys and lock).

Not bad. I already knew how this trick worked before I bought it (seen it a local magic store) but I bought it anyway.
Not sure I'll be hanging onto it for long though, it lacks that "wow" factor you'll be looking for and doesn't always end how you want it to.
Still, if you buy this trick be sure to watch Oz's training vid, he'll show you a good way to hand it over for inspection and it's pretty much undectable. Little practice required.
