Imagine your spectator's thoughts, her face only inches away, as she sees you place two coins, a dime and penny, in your left hand.

She watches your hands closely, making certain there's nothing tricky going on... but there are no tricky moves.

You ask her to pick one of the coins. She picks...

You pause for just a moment before opening your hand to reveal that coin.

She's amazed... but, you're not done. You open your other hand to reveal that in an act of pure magic, the remaining coin has left it's partner's side and traveled a horizontal distance of over a foot (only inches from your spectator's face) without being detected.

The coin now sits innocently in your opened hand... both coins are ready to be examined.

It's big brother, Scotch and Soda, is the best selling coin trick of all time.

Dime and Penny saved me from trouble! Report this review

I am very good doing card tricks, but one problem is I am still a student in school. So during study hall I like doing tricks for my fellow Class of 2006'ers. Anyhow cards are illegal in school, but some teachers allow them, especially in my case (since they like my tricks), and however some do not allow cards. One of my teachers always threatens me that they will report me to the dean. So I knew I would have to learn other types of magic for school. So i came to Penguin Magic and started looking for a nice easy coin trick. When I took it to school after getting it, everyone liked it better then my card tricks. So because of Dime and Penny starting my coin trick collection, it saved me from trouble in school, since coins are not illegal. I also got the biting quarter which is also impressive. So thanks Penguin Magic for not getting me suspended from school! You guys are cool!

WOW, this trick is amazing. 4.00 bucks Don't even read the rest of this review, BUY IT NOW........... Ok so u are still reading, well I have just started magic and well this is my first attempt at coin magic and well I do it on people and they say What the hell just happened at get confused lol.
I think this is great. I am amazing so many people, they don't know what hit them!!!. I live in Australia which is a totally different currency to america, and well they still think it great even if is a tiny bit suspicious. I just say the american coins are built with a special magic property in them or something like that. But hey people love it and it's cheap so buy it and just carry it around and when you are in a boring situation just get it out and liven up the place!!!

Go with Scotch and Soda Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on April 24th, 2003
Dime and Penny is usually referred to as the little brother of Scotch and Soda. If that is the case then Scotch and Soda is the honor student of the family while Dime and Penny on the other hand is the child that needs constant tutoring. For the price...It might seem like a good buy but for pure enjoyment and most of all to end totally clean with nothing suspicious, go with Scotch and Soda.

Easy Trick with Lots of Potential Report this review
Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on April 27th, 2003
This coin trick is a lot of fun. It doesn’t hold up well to examination very well if someone wants to really look at it. By itself the trick seems a little stale. “The coin is gone. **yawn**” I am discovering though, that this trick really shines when some great patter goes with it. And more important, when some sleights are thrown in, the trick really comes alive. Some palming and drops and the possibilities of this trick really shine. However, for beginners, time will be required to develop the full potential of this trick. 4 of 5 stars

I saw the video 3 times. I would have never expected the secret. When I showed my friend his jaw just dropped. He begged and begged to tell him how I did it. You should really get this.

I like it. I use it in a routine. First I do Dime to Penny, then I do the Penny and Dime, and then I do Dishonest Abe... come on, its only 4 bucks.

So Clever Report this review

This trick is great! I did the trick to a friend at Church, and I don't think he had a clue on how the trick was done. It's a clever trick with numerous effects. I give it 4 stars and not 5 because of what you have to do to reset the trick, but then again...what else could you do? GREAT TRICK!

I do not understand why anyone would NOT buy this trick. You know that the biggest selling coin trick ever is scotch & soda, and this is the same thing, but with more natural coins, (dime and penny instead of 50 cent piece and mexican centavo). One thing I like about this trick is I feel comfortable performing it everytime, it is FOUR dollars and probably the most visual coin transposition out there.
