ive now bought more than 20 Tarbells from you and never been happier than the one before I bought before if you are like me that would rather make your own props than buy them these Tarbells are for there is something about it when you make it yourself and the way its taught is second by none cant wait for my next lesson by the way I perform these for children 5 and up just using different words

Dan Harlan has really given a huge gift to the magic community with this Tarbell series. Tarbell is such a wonderful resource, but it often somewhat dated. Dan could have simply provided exactly what is in the book - but he goes above and beyond as usual and updates handlings and presentations to suit modern day performers, he makes the routines even better while still explaining the nuts and bolts and how he has updated or refined them. Everything he adds is pure gold and he is ridiculously generous with his time, care, attention and teaching.

I live outside of the US so due to exchange rates I can't really afford to buy the lessons, however with the Tarbell special I managed to pick this one up - I love unique and unusual magic. Dan is a truly an exemplary performer and creator. His extensive and deep knowledge of magic comes through in all the subtleties and touches he gives which really make these routines shine.

There is great, solid, powerful, workable magic here. I envy the beginner magician who can pick these up and find such gems to put into their acts which have already been refined by Harlan for you... it is often difficult to find good magic and there is so much of it here.

Thank you Dan for your dedication with this project and thanks to Penguin for putting it out. It's a legacy in and of itself and it's so heartening to be inspired creatively and magically through watching this lesson (and I'm sure all the others in the series).

I highly recommend this. There is something for everyone here. And it is a special thing not only to be turned on to new material, but also be entertained and inspired while learning it.

Five stars.

Dan has once again taken dated and even forgotten effects and brought them to life and up to date. Great mix and superb routines. Great job.

Another eclectic array of different tricks from different genres. My favorites were Ed Reno's Watch and Geranium, Popping Corn in a Hat, and Tarbell's Quick Popper. Good for magicians that dabble in all forms of magic, stage, mental, and cards, including a quick coin trick where 4 coins are audibly dropped into a glass and vanish.
