The Balancing Spinning Quarter Carry this around and you'll always have money for a phone call! It's a fun attention getter at school, work, or at the pub. For pros it's a strong audience participation piece with comedic potential.
Price: $6.95
Out of stock.

Four U.S quarters are removed from your jacket pocket. Two coins are handed to the spectator and two are kept for yourself. Tell the spectator follow your lead. You vertically balance one coin on top of the other. The spectator has no luck. Now you take this already amazing accomplishment one step further. While holding the bottom of the coin with one hand, use the other hand to rotate the top coin 90 degrees so that it is now resting sideways opposed to the bottom coin. Still the coin remains balanced. The spectator is in awe as his/her coin continues to fall. The coins are returned to your pocket.

  • Can be repeated immediately with no setup

  • Great for close-up and walk around

  • Very easy to perform

Manufacturer Says

The supplied two coins are precision machined by Roy Kueppers. The gimmick is self contained within the coins.

It's a classic trick/effect. It's good for beginners, but for more experienced people I would say don't take it. So if your a beginner then yes, I recommend it for the price. Plus you could do more things with it. But for advanced people, I would say get something better.

I expected a much better gimmick than what you will get. Mine are now a permanent resident of my junk magic drawer. I am sure Penguin has something better for you to buy.

attention giver Report this review

I did this trick in school just sitting in my chair, not telling anyone, and I got so much attention. Everyone was like holy cow! How do you do that? Even the teachers were baffled. I give it a four because even though it looks cool, the first thing the comes to their mind is it's a magnet, which it's not though. This trick is fun, and people will think you're amazing.

Despite the three, GREAT TRICK!

Pros:
*great trick
*everyone guesses it, but can't find out

Cons:
*people ask you to do it again, or show you them. and unless you are good at sleight of hand(which i'm not) you can't let them see it.
*everyone thinks it's a magnet(which it isn't)

None the less. GREAT TRICk. i recomend it!

Great Simple Trick Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on November 22nd, 2004
This trick is great because everyone is shocked when they see it for the first time. The gimmick is easy to hide close up but people cannot hold one of the coins. People always guess magnets but I demonstrate there are no magnets at the beginning of the trick which really blows their mind when it is performed. The best part is that I can keep this trick in my wallet and pull it out any time. I highly recommend this trick to anyone.

Good trick, worth owning... Report this review

Although the gimmick is detectable if not used carefully, this is a great trick. Whip the coins out of your pocket, say "Do as I do" to a spectator with 2 other quarters, pull some simple moves that anyone can do, and go out with a bang when you make the coins balance and spin.

Buy it. You'll like it.

Attention Getter/Ice Breaker Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on July 27th, 2005
This is easy to do and is exactly what it is advertised as: an attention getter.

I like to use this to break up the monotony of a meeting at work or catch some attention while standing in line at the bank or the supermarket. It's a great ice-breaker that can gather a person or three and allows you to move into doing more impressive tricks. Worth the money and a fun diversion when you use your imagination.

Nice effect Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on September 10th, 2005
The effect is really easy to get down, and it does turn heads. But it's not really a trick, more as a way to attract people, or just to showoff. Overall its a very good trick, simple to do, but requires practice to do it again.

I was quite dissapointed with this over priced trick.

It is so obvious how it works, but it suprises people if you're at a bus stop etc. and you pull 2 coins out of you're pocket and balance one of them on the other.
I gets the best effects if you dont say you are a magician because it automatically creates suspition and it is esasier to work out the secret.

If you want an attention-getter, Buy This Trick.
