Production quality is good and Daryl does a great job of teaching. I'm barely more than a newbie in
magic, which puts me right in the market of this DVD. My one and only complaint is that I thought
that there was going to be a few more of the sleights taught. Still, for a newbie like me, there is
plenty of information and a couple sleights to work on. And hey! For less than $8, you really can't
go wrong. Just keep in mind that if you already know the basic routine, you probably will want
something more advanced.

Daryl was a mastermind and the kindest soul you could meet. This presentation shows his love for
magic and his love for performance. Truly masterful magic here - even though it's a beginner
course. Great discussion of the flow, the presentation, even bits, ideas and materials.
Highly recommend. I've even brought some of this into my more advanced presentation just
because I think it's so charming.

If you are a beginning magician you would give this DVD 6 stars! I have looked at several DVD's on
cups and balls over the years and even though this one is not the most advanced, it is certainly one
of the most useful for learning this effect. This could easily be my "go to" tape when I am out of
practice on some of the more advanced slights. And, Daryl is one great teacher!
Very well taught-----great for the beginner! Though the meat of most of the routines are taught on
Volume II, I think it's essential to have both volumes. In them, you will learn the reasons behind
why the sleights work, enabling you to create your own routines. Also, the cameo lectures on the
history of cups and balls is fascinating! Well worth getting both volumes!
Once again Daryl has produced one of the best beginner videos available. Providing a complete
beginner routine with plenty of extra flourishes and effects to continue to grow on. Add to that a
complete review of the many varieties of cups and balls that can be used and you have the perfect
introduction video for beginners.
This DVD is great for beginners to cups and balls which I am. If you have any knowledge already with
them, then this dvd is probably not for you. It teaches one 6-phase routine, with a couple extra
tips that you can add to the routine. I enjoyed it, and had the routine down in minutes, but I am
already ready to get a more advanced dvd on cups and balls. I have performed the routine multiple
times for all ages, and have gotten great reactions, so even though it is a basic routine, it still
is very solid.

his acrobatic knot trick. Daryl does a great job providing history and also and easy to do without
any fancy flourishes which was important as I purchased this as a gift for a young magician getting
started in magic.
