With a simple modification, this milk glass could have been very good. Instead, the design on this glass makes it so angle-sensitive you have to have your audience dead-ahead to make it work. No one past the 5 or 7 mark will find this impressive at all. This could only be used in a very large stage environment (preferably with bad lighting). Even then, the stage lights will easily reflect off the top of the cup giving away the secret. This also isn't a parlor effect or even remotely a close up one.
The problem could have easily been fixed with a small modification to the glass. The top is completely flat and obviously so. That makes it impossible for liquid to appear to come out to the audience and makes it easily glare any light close to it. If they had only made the top go into the cup a little bit it would still have been functional and less obvious. Even turning the cup away from the audience doesn't help, as they can see through it to the other part of the cup.
I do like the fact that the cup is already permanently set up and you don't have to keep worrying about putting the fake milk in it each time. It's a good "toss it in the bag and forget it" type prop. Unfortunately, it will only be useful in very limited environments.

Great for kids' magic shows Report this review

I disagree with the other reviewer who states that this is angle sensitive. The audience is normally siting down, so they don't see into the top of the glass. The only ones who might see the top of the glass are the kids who volunteer to come "onstage" with you. Even then (with audience management) you can prevent the kids from looking onto the top.
If performed this in parlor shows many, many times and don't find this angle sensitive at all (unless you have people above you). You can perform this surrounded. The kids and adults love it!
