I have bought many things from Penguin over the years, and have never given a negative review until
now. I may change my review if the author of this trick responds to my email to him and explains WHY
the trick received does NOT do what is advertised here in words and in the demo video. The ad copy
at the end of "Effect 1" states: "Then the mixed up Rubik's cube is solved in less than three
seconds." And this is what is shown in the demo video on the Penguin site. But this part of the
effect IS NOT ON THE INSTRUCTIONAL DVD AT ALL! The demos on the instructional video DO NOT show the
magician solving the cube, and NO explanation is given of how to do it or why it has been left out
of the effect. I already KNEW how a 3D cube can be popped out of a flat container -- production
cubes have been available for YEARS. This is NOT why I bought the effect, I bought it because the
move solving the cube looks very convincing on the demo -- just don't look for it on the
instructional DVD, it's not there. Sorry, guys, this looks like false advertising to me, and it's
the first time I've ever felt ripped off by a purchase from Penguin after spending many hundreds of
dollars here.

This trick is easy but the rubber bands that come with it are not so powerful....I had to replace
them with a regular rubber band. Solving it is easy though NOT shown on the DVD.....EXAMINE the cube
(you will find flaps that fold over with the solved sides....) The magazine "pages" are easy to fix
in a magazine IF you have access to a color computer printer (I wish that the manufacturer had
included the pages with the trick. I had to get my magic dealer to print the 2 pages for me) Then
rubber cemented them in a magazine with fake matching pages to the left....This trick could be
improved somewhat, but I did like the extra shell for the real Rubick's cube that I purchased from a
toy store
