Paul Voodini presents Multi-Dimensional Out of This World, his take on the classic Out of This World card routine. However, as you can probably imagine, in the hands of Voodini, Out of This World is shaken up! It is turned into a 3-phase routine featuring a volunteer being appointed as the group's psychic, a message being delivered from the spirits, and a display of personal intuition that contains within it a subconscious message!

With a presentational angle that incorporates the volunteers' hopes and dreams for the future, this is a great routine to use with friends and family over the New Year period, but is equally usable at any time.

No sleight of hand is required, and the PDF fully explains and describes everything required for a fun and upbeat presentation. More experienced performers would easily be able to turn this single routine into a full evening of mystery entertainment.

This routine is ideal for a parlor presentation or could be adapted for close-up. The only equipment required is a normal deck of playing cards.

For 3 bucks I didn't expect a lot, and somehow I got less than that. The short version is you get a 15pg pdf with a flawed ONE phase routine, not a three phase like the description says, and you need four volunteers for this concept to work. Also, this is definitely not impromptu, nor does it reset quickly. I didn't take off stars for that though because nothing in the description said that it was.

The longer:
The concept for the routine isn't too bad, but it's nothing new. One could take the concept and lose the long-winded patter, which is the only thing preventing this from being a one page publication. Basically, instead of the normal red black separation, this routine results in a separation of the suits. It is easy to do as far as sleights are concerned, since there are none.

My issues with this publication are many. First, the description says three phase, but there is only one phase. The other two "phases" are nothing more than doing pseudo tarot readings with the many playing cards left over in a discard pile before the reveal.

Second, this routine is so heavily scripted your spectators are likely to fall asleep long before you get to the weak ending. The payoff is definitely not worth the wait for you or or audience.

Which brings me to my third issue, the ending is weak. Like really weak. Like literally not an ending as much as just hoping for a coincidence to happen. Basically you finish by looking to see if each spectator's Ace matches the suit of the pile in front of them, and it probably doesn't. Because the creator didn't bother to work a method for this.

Oh and I should mention, out of the whole deck, probably around half the deck will end up in a discard pile, so each of the four spectators will only have anywhere from 5-10 cards at the end.

For three bucks, it's not bad if you're a few bucks shy of the free shipping price, or don't mind just taking the concept and reworking the entire routine. Otherwise, I'd recommend buying virtually any other OOTW.
