This is the perfect pocket trick for the price. This is a high quality piece and not the kind you would find in a dollar store or with those cheap trick sets at discount shops. With a little bit of practice you can make the ball pass through the bottom and even hand out the ball, vase, and lid to be examined with just minimum sleight of hand.

This trick is a classic and it works for all age groups.
The Royal brand is exceptional quality and a great pocket carry. I use multiple balls so that I can expand my routine.
I've purchased other versions from China and there is no comparison in quality.

I bought this to learn Mike Skinners, "Bewildering Ball Vase" routine as published in Genii, December 1969.
To do the routine you will need two sets, so I ordered two.

But be advised, the colors of the Royal Ball and Vase vary. I got a red one and a blue one which doesn't work.

I'll need to get another.

As others have said the Royal Vase is the best inexpensive set.

Gimmick sticks to the lid Report this review

Every time I open the lid, the secret gimmick sticks to it which requires both hands to open to reveal the gimmick ball. Alright for it's prescribed very basic usage, but if you're doing something more advanced like P&T's routine, then needing to use two hands to open the lid is a pain.

i really like, its good for kids because its really easy to follow. a lot of people say its more of a kids trick, but ive gotten a lot of good reactions from adults. i think this is something just about every magician should have. this one is not the greatest quality, but look at what your paying for it.

This is a good trick and recommended for the young performer. This trick has been done to death however is a great way for young people or beginners to start with. It is inexpensive and will be fun for a while you may even fool some people if you work at it.
