The classic "Snowstorm in China" effect is one of the most visually appealing effects possible. The performer shows his hands empty, then displays a sheet of tissue paper and tears it into strips. He bundles the strips together and places them into a tumbler which is then filled with water. The performer then begins pouring the water out of the tumbler with one hand and waving a fan with the other. The gimmick is somewhat hard to fit in your hand and with that said it can be very hard to conceal
from certain angles. Not to mention it is somewhat hard to manipulate.Therefore, without enough
practice (about a week depending on the magician) I wouldn't suggest it. However, if you do have
enough time to get used to it so that you can perform it effectively, I would definitely recommend
it. It is a beautiful effect and personally, I used it to close one of my larger shows a few weeks
ago and it worked great.

It comes with 6 packets. Just six...so take note! But they are very large packets with lots of
pieces. However, the pieces themselves are also large. I'd actually prefer a large packet with
SMALL pieces so it fits into your hand better AND they go higher when fanned. These pieces are like
3/4 inch square pieces so they are pretty big. They do look very nice though (and might be easier
for the staff to cleanup since they are larger). But you don't want to buy this if you have small
hands. My hands are "medium" and it works ok for me.
