Bazar de Magia makes this Malini-style Egg Bag. The egg bag has been around a couple centuries at
least, making it a true classic of magic. The egg bag routine can be done on stage or close up
making it a versatle routine. There are a lot of good routines out there to get your juices flowing
such as the Ron Bauer Siamese Egg Bag or the Bob White DVD.
There are really only a few
moves with the egg bag. You vanish an egg and make it reappear. Kinda boring as a simple effect,
but wonderful in the context of a comedy routine. The supplied routine is ok to get started.
This is a well constructed egg bag although my first one started to fray. Penguin replaced it
no-questions asked and the next bag if doing better. It is stitched with some delicate thread so
handle it with care and it should last a long time. Gimmick is simple and easy to handle. Handled
correctly the egg is invisible. The wooden egg is too heavy to use. Use a blown-out, real egg
instead. A good value and a good starter egg bag.

I've worked with this bag for a couple of weeks now. The bag is fantastic! Well made and durable.
The included wooden egg though, is not really usable. You will need to get a smaller, lighter egg.
The wooden egg is too big for the secret "thingie" and it is so heavy it is very noticeable in the
bag. I just blew out some "medium" sized eggs and they work perfectly.
I'm very happy with
the bag though!
this is a wonderful trick for all audiences))
This egg bag is the best. I don't own any others but recently we had a session dedicated to Egg Bags
in my local magic club and I had the chance to see and use different models other magicians owned. I
didn't find a better design than this one. The secret is easily hidden and the bag can be shown
freely both inside and outside. There is nothing to see pretty much at any angles. I found it better
to use an egg shell because it is lighter than the wooden egg. If you own the bag you should know
what the weight is important. If you don't then 'Add To Cart' and study this classic.
The Malini Egg Bag is a fun piece of magic to use especially for children's parties. It does take
some minimal amount of practice to use well, but its pretty versatile. I use it for small parlor
magic as well as close up sometimes by having a spectator put their hand in the bag to feel around
at first, only to feel nothing in there, then produce an egg. You do not have to use the provided
wooden egg. Using boiled Easter eggs are great as well. The material is soft and durable and for
the price its hard to beat. If it was going to be something I really focused on, or used very often,
I would probably invest in a slightly better quality bag. I've used this one for about year and a
half, and only now is it beginning to show signs of wear.
