School for Scoundrels manufactures some of the highest quality shells in the world, and their
antique copper shells are no exception. These shells have a nice finish with a rich copper coating
with black highlights in the shell surface indentations. The shells also have a nice "heft" to
them, making kick steals and shot glass escapes easier.
If you already own a basic shell
game set and want to upgrade, this would be a good shell to look at if you want to add a metal shell
to your arsenal.

These shells have become the favorite prop I own. Everything School for Scoundrels puts out is top
notch. Beautiful and a dream to work with. If you are a fan of the three shell game these are the
best out there.

Simply put, these are the nicest looking (and performing) shells I've handled. The weight,
antiquing, finish and shell design (along with the "perfect pea") make this the last set I'll ever
need. And you really can't beat the price. Highly recommended.

Handling is very comfortable and the Quality is super.
Any product from The School for Scoundrels is money well spent. I have three sets of their shells.
The Street Shells, Magnetic Street Shells and The Antique Copper Shells. The Street Shells are made
from from plastic are light weight and easy to use and look like real walnuts. The Antique Copper
Shells are made from pewter and copper plated then antitqued. This gives them a more elegant look.
They are heavier than the Street Shells but this is an added bonus because certain moves are easier
to do. The kick steal being an example.. The Copper Shells come with five perfect peas, Shells and a
shot glass in a velvet bag. The Copper Shells have become my favorite Shells. I highly recommend
these shells.
These are identical to the School for Scoundrels Street Shell. The quality is excellent and the
shells came with a shot glass that fits perfectly as a "shell trap." Note that these shells are
"shallow." This makes them less suspicious looking, but can make some of the advanced handling more
challenging... this of course depends on your hands and the moves you look to apply.
Again another great purchase from Penguin.
They take a little getting used too. Hefty and well
made. Thank you!
These are high quality, and having gotten used to the regular shells, I'm very happy with this set.
It's the same size, but feels much more satisfying to manipulate.
My only complaint is
that the shot glass didn't fit over the shells perfectly. I found one in my cabinet that does, so no
harm done.
These shells look great and are the perfect weight. My only complaint is that the included shot
glass is too small to fit over the shell.
I ordered this set from Penguin while searching for the Pop Haydn / Chef Anton Shell sets. I really
like the copper set, they look very natural and, as advertised, work perfectly with the Perfect Peas
that are provided.
One side note on the shells... the shells don't seem to be the ideal
size for my hands, that has nothing to do with the quality of the shells, but before putting down
money for a higher priced shell set, it may be a good idea to practice with a variety of sets in
person
The perfect peas are indeed perfect for the shells.
Here is where my
review goes from 5 stars to 5+... The set was put together by a performer thinking about a fellow
performer. Not a company thinking about money. You get the 3 shells, a nice cloth carrying bag, 7
peas (5 perfect peas and 2 Plastic) and the shot glass that fits over the shells. It literally feels
like Chef Anton and Pop Haydn handed me one of their personal sets to have. An item like the shot
glass (just a regular glass that is an ideal size) could have easily been left out of the set, but
they want you to have everything for the routines. Very nice. If you don't already have it, be sure
to pick up Pop Haydn's Exhibition Shell DVD or Download to go with the set.
