I have recently purchased some of the laflin dvd silk magic training series. Duane Laflin is a very clear, thorough and obviously caring teacher. I am really enjoying his dvd's. This info on the hank ball is indispensible on the subject and really gives the student a manipulation skill that makes 'boxes' unnecessary.. all the 'changes' can take place in your hands.. so much more magical than suspicious bags and boxes, tubes and unexaminable props! I would highly recommend this and all laflin's dvds.. although, I don't want other competitive magi's knowing how powerful these skills can be, he he.

Laflin is amazing when it comes to any effects using silks and this gimmick is a must. You will never use the Hank ball the same and likley discard any instructions that have ever come with your gimmick. Anther trick is getting the good hank balls that Laflin demo's in this DVD. There is some real garbage out there and this DVD will put a lot of things to rest for you when it comes to manipulating hank balls. I use one in almost every kids show and the technique Laflin teaches never fails. Great DVD on the hank ball.

With any item in your magic act you need proper education on how to use it. Duane goes into the proper use of the hank ball. It is nice to see the actual workings as opposed to reading the instructions on paper.
